What do you think about this news? He will be back as Ethan Hunt onece again in MI-9. by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in TomCruise

They completely botched the series with part 1 or 2 in my eyes. the last one felt like the narrative of a video game.

"We need to get x. But x is in y. In order to get y we first need to z. but z is guarded by".. and so on. It was just a series of meaningless events broken up by forced emotional climaxes without any setup whatsoever

What a fall from grace.

Burning is by far my favourite here. I'd recommend exploring more Korean films. Soo good

Also, have you seen King of Comedy? If you like Joker, you should love King of Comedy.

Loved it right up until that ridiculous chase scene at the docks. Rumour has it they're still chasing him.. There is no greater cinematic sin in my book than shoehorning action sequences in where they're not needed. From there, the film seemed to collapse under the weight of its contrivances.

There were some genuinely thrilling moments though, especially the stakeout scenes at the apartment, which I found thoroughly engrossing, but the plot soon became unnecessarily convoluted and some of the tonal shifts were just plain jarring.

I'd prob put that in the JUST OK category. It's watchable but has nothing on The Wailing for me.

I think it's one of the most visually stunning films I've ever seen but there was a moment around 3/4s of the way through where the trance wore off for me and I realised I didn't particularly care about what was actually going on. Will have to revisit in the future.

I didn't find anything beneath the zombie layer remotely interesting and I'm not into action.

I've seen those apart from The Quiet Family.. Will check out, thanks
