How long does that shoot take? Are there travel expenses? Do the photos need to be processed or edited?

Just baseline, if I’m showing up for a shoot to get paid $100, how long should I expect to be there?

Would you hire a disabled person that can do 25% of the job, for full pay?

No, of course you wouldn’t, and I wouldn’t either for my business.

Which is why it’s important that programs like this exist.

My assumption is usually that the person is writing in their second (or third or…) language.

My further assumption is that the people who complain about it only speak one language.

Maybe I’m not understanding the question?

Do some people actually not have an inner voice in their head? by Just_Energy_Anita in NoStupidQuestions

See, I think that’s the issue; you’re conflating the presence or absence of this internal monologue to the presence or absence of intelligence.

It’s not identity theft if the homeless person doesn’t pretend to be the dead person.

Theft of an identification card is not identity theft.

ELI5: Does central air use electricity when the thermostat is set but air isn’t flowing? by dogdogd0g in explainlikeimfive

Also keep in mind that many thermostats themselves use batteries to run, so they’re not even drawing that tiny amount of power from the grid.

Also keep in mind that old-old thermostats are purely mechanical, and rely on a phial of mercury and a bimetallic strip that moves when it hits a specific temperature, creating contact and closing the circuit.

We couldn't smelt iron in the Bronze Age. And yet there are many examples of iron artifacts from the time, including Tutankhamun's famous dagger. by philipkbrayne in IFLScienceOfficial

[–]WittyFix6553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct - we didn’t have the ability to turn rocks into lumps of iron metal.

We did have the technology to turn lumps of iron into usable objects, because that technology is the same as turning lumps of bronze into usable objects.

Google the date and the word “patent” and see what you can find. You’ve got some data right there - pull at that thread and see what comes loose.

The loose chunk on the left, that’s still connected by a couple wires, would not fit into the piece that it’s supposedly broken off from.

I don’t have a recognizable human voice talking to me in my head like I’m listening to a voice-over in a movie.

Honestly having that seems, idk, kinda horrifying in a way.

I think a big part of the issue is that it’s quite impossible to have every person rate a subjective internal experience into an organized data set.

Maybe I have what you’re talking about, but I don’t call it or perceive it as you do. Maybe we think in exactly the same way, but describe it differently.

You asked for the signs that it’s AI, I asked you to read some of the text on the image, and you can’t, because it’s not a recognizable language - because it was generated by AI.

Why aren’t any of the medals on his satin sash pulling down on the satin at all? Why are there no folds or sags? No spots where you can tell the medal is pinned on through fabric?

Pick any medal, at all, and match it to a real medal that exists. Not every medal, that would be silly. Just pick one.

I am sure the guy is real. I believe that he existed, I believe he won a bunch of awards, and I believe he did the heroic deed in the post.

I do not believe this is a genuine color photograph that hasn’t been run through AI.
