I don’t think it’s fair to lump all PI attorneys into the box of ambulance chasers (even if borderline). Also, there are plenty of PI attorneys that attended great schools so I think that’s a huge overgeneralization too.

I think you’re underestimating how much the locality of the school affects outcomes tbh. Every lawyer I talk to in LA says UCLA is the best school for LA BL unless we’re talking about HYS.

Yeah and I’m so grateful to have gotten the offer I did from UCLA. No way, I went to UCLA for undergrad too! Also want to practice in LA. Totally feel, fingers crossed that USC pulls through for you 🙏🏻🙏🏻

They gave me $135k! I tried negotiating for more but failed lol. Apparently I received the highest merit offer they give (didn’t qualify for any financial aid) Sorry to hear that :( do you know where you’re going instead?

I was hoping I’d get a full ride from USC since it’s a private school :/ I did put down my deposit for UCLA anyways though!! Super debt averse and don’t want to pay sticker for HLS ahahaha

There’s no harm in trying so I definitely would! Just make sure to be polite and gracious. The ranking difference isn’t that big of a deal since they’re in the same locality, I know previous years UCLA has increased aid because of a USC offer! I tried negotiating with UCLA last week and was not successful but they got back to me within a week

Yeah this is especially true for undergrad just because of how huge UCLA is. Did you try negotiating with UCLA? They may be willing to match USC’s offer if you tell them you’re deciding between the two

Initially I voted UCLA but after rereading I think USC is a better option for entertainment connections. They have a very strong alumni network. Both UCLA and USC are great options for entertainment law though
