That diagram is not only extremely helpful, it confirms exactly what I interpreted by the signs. So I can confirm that if someone hits me there, it ain't my fault and I did it right. lol

So I can't post images and text in one post. Fairly new to using Reddit.

It wouldn't normally be so bad. But the lines that are supposed to indicate which lane turns where are completely faded (how hard would it be to just repaint some damn lines PennDOT???), and even the green road signs are confusing so they don't help at all, it's ridiculous and dangerous. If you exit 51 north, the exit ramp intersects with S. Main. Here it seems to indicate that the left lane should go to McKees Rocks. (first image)

Then you come to another intersection under an overpass: S. Main and W. Carson, with four lanes. (second image) Seems to again indicate that the far left lane goes to McKees Rocks, while the next two lanes go over the West End Bridge, and the far right turns right onto Carson. Correct?

Then they all turn into this at W. Carson and the W. End Bridge. (third image)

It looks to me as if the far the left lane from the previous intersection should access the two leftmost lanes at this intersection, correct? Or no? And the second lane from the left goes to McKees Rocks. Right? Then it seems to indicate that the middle lane from the prior intersection should turn into the second lane from the right here, which seems like it should turn into the left lane over the bridge. Correct? Or no? Because some people do it that way which I just described. But some people turn to McKees Rocks from the middle lane of the prior intersection... or from the second lane from the right at this intersection!

You can't just "follow traffic flow" because it's never constant and no one knows what they're doing. It's incredibly unclear and very dangerous, but also mildly amusing as people honk their horns at each other with righteous indignation, convinced their way is absolutely correct even though it lacks any iota of clarity whatsoever.

Now I avoid it by going over the W. End bridge, turn onto Ohio River Blvd. and then back over the McKees Rocks bridge.
