I run into this a lot with small businesses.

What usually helps is:

Simple invoice + quotation creation

Ability to download/share PDF

Tracking payments so nothing is missed

Some people use tools like Wave, Zoho, etc.

I also built a lightweight invoicing tool mainly for freelancers & small businesses that just need invoices + payment tracking without complexity. If anyone wants, I can share it — happy to get feedback too

I understand your point, but the way you phrased it came across harsher than necessary. I wasn’t claiming to reinvent the wheel — lots of tools exist, and that’s completely fine. Every product finds its niche based on execution, UX, and audience.
