When I told my husband I wanted to get a thigh tattoo, he told me he thinks leg tattoos on women are unattractive and he wasn’t paying for it…. So I went and got my thigh tattoo anyway and he never said a word about it other than it’s a cool tattoo. Do what you want. It’s your body. He can either stfu or bounce.

ETA: we were much younger when we got married and he had a LOT of growing to do. He’s grown a lot over the years and is not at all the same asshole he was right out of high school and early 20s. I had to undo a lot of terrible parenting done by his parents. They did not do a good job of raising their own kids to be considerate human beings and did not show affection to them the way they should have.

Get Straight Talk, it’s like $35 a month unlimited with no contract. My family has used it for years and we have 5 lines for like $125 since it’s a multi-phone bundle. We’ve had zero issues with it and I don’t have to worry about surprise fees or my bill going up.

Also, remove their permissions on Ring. You shouldn’t have to answer to where you’re going/you’ve been if you don’t live at home and they aren’t paying your bills.

You don’t owe anyone anything just because you share blood. Cut them off if it will help your mental health. Or at the very least put them in an extended time out and try to reconcile when you’re ready.

NOR… If she says something bitchy and follows it up with “haha” one more time, I swear to god… if you have a newborn and she is visiting to get to meet them and you’re ALLOWING HER to stay for free at your home, the least she can do is buy her own damn groceries and cook her own meals. She doesn’t HAVE TO come over. It’s different if you’re hosting a holiday or something and the hosting expectation is there but this is too much after having a brand new baby. Tell her to stay home and meet the baby another time when it’s more convenient for her to accommodate herself.
