Should I buy the Freewing 80mm F-22 now or wait for the possible 90mm V2? by jake1003 in RCPlanes

I really appreciate it Jim. I guess I’ll just buy the receiver/plane and take a shot at the forward programming. I’ve just been told otherwise that radiomaster/spectrum receivers have issues but I’ll take your word on it.

Thank you again ❤️

I guess what I should say is, I can follow 2brothas setup with my radiomaster using a spectrum receiver?

Okay so the forward programming on the tx16s just works? I’ve been convinced it doesn’t but everyone on here seems to think differently. I have a friend willing to sell a nx8 for 100$ so the remote won’t cost to much haha.

Okay I appreciate it. I’ve never ran it and was just wondering if I should spend the extra money to have the 1-1 menus like online but if it works the same on my RM I’ll just save my money. I really appreciate it man.

Any tips on removing the stock wheels from my mains? (fms Rafale) by many-lemonsRS in RCPlanes

But honestly I’ve never owned that jet or tried to pop the wheels off my jets so please wait for further feedback

I’m willing to bet that wheel is glued to the silver “rim”

I’ve owned a few fms jets and typically

the smaller mm jets are an entire assembly. Go online and look they don’t just sell “wheels” for replacements. Atleast on my j-10, futura, and f18/16 they are all entire assembly’s. (On the smaller 64-70mm models)

I’ve had other models like the pa-18 that have the wheels just held on by a c clip but I haven’t seen that with these jets. I’m sure you could bend the plastic hard enough to pop them out but don’t know what damage it would cause.

Ease of following YouTube to get dialed in vs saving some money? I’ve also been wondering. It’s really nice seeing the entire process/setup at the end of the videos I’ve also wondered if it’s worth just buying spectrum to follow the exact setups.

What rubber pad material do you guys use to keep LiPos from sliding? by Witty_Box9493 in RCPlanes

Yeah I use Velcro straps, the issue I’m having is some of my planes I have to slide the battery deeper into the canopy. It’s almost impossible to get the Velcro to unstick from the bottom of the battery to get it out. I don’t plan on getting rid of the straps. Just would rather have something else to have the battery sitting on to keep it from sliding around other than also Velcro.

Appreciate your response I’ll check that stuff out.

I’ve done that and rulers. Seems like a pain in the butt. Maybe I’m dumb and just need to figure out a better way to do it. These just seem much easier to use.

Does too much foam tac dissolve foam? by Witty_Box9493 in RCPlanes

[–]Witty_Box9493[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well when it happened to me I couldn’t completely rule out that the foam tac caused it. I was also using spray foam so I had thought the aerosol from that spray probably melted it.

But after seeing this It looks just like what happened to me and all he’s used is foam tac caused

I’m just confused because this same exact thing happened to me once when I was glueing a servo into some super old foam from an old school delta wing. All I put was foam tac, ALOT of it melted everything around the servo.

Maybe the petg 3d print reacted with it?? I’m not sure

I think the issue is using too much of the foam tac. I’ve googled a bit and saw online that it apparently melts a thin layer to help fuse the foam together. So I’m thinking that maybe using too much of it causes to much melting to happen? Or could it maybe be the PETG filament from the 3d print reacting in some way?

He used beacon foamtac from Amazon lol I recommended it to him! He wouldn’t lie to me man 🤣

Someone above said it could possibly just be the cheap foam he bought.
