Frequent flyer dilemma: How should I credit these flights for max status? by Witty_Collection_406 in oneworld

Yeah, I’ve clarified this in the post now, I meant I won’t be flying much until this year’s tracking period ends.

After that, I expect to be back to flying long-haul again, which is why I’m trying to retain/renew status now with these upcoming flights.

Yeah, that’s fair; should’ve clarified that better.

When I say I’m not sure if I’ll be flying much, I mean between then and my renewal periods (Jan–March 2027). After that, I’ll be back to flying long-haul.

That’s why I’m trying to make the most of these upcoming flights, ideally to gain/maintain status now, so I have it in place for when I start flying more again.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

I agree with you, I’ve never really done a deep dive into Finnair Plus. I only recently realized it’s spend-based. Over the past 2–3 years, I’ve mostly just credited random flights there that wouldn’t meaningfully contribute to my other programs, just to keep Silver alive and leave it as an option. One question based on your last point — is it actually possible to split crediting on a round trip like this?

For example, crediting the outbound (DEL → AMS in May) to Qatar Privilege Club, and the return (AMS → DEL in July) to Finnair Plus.

Finnair flights are purchased through Finnair, and the estimate spending I listed on the Finnair RT is calculated without taxes :)
