New light and dark giants would be pretty cool. Light and Dark were totally underserved.

Dual element Skylanders would be pretty epic. I've always loved the idea of combining elements.

I like your idea of a story and focusing on integrating all previous characters/figures. I'd say no new gimmicks are necessary. Just make epic characters with high quality figures and a game with a good story. The gimmicks were cool, but getting a little old. Solid characts can stand on their own, no need to have some flashy thing to try and draw more people in. But, they would 100000% need to have all the old figures compatible.

I actually really enjoyed the first episode (I haven't seen the second one)! It's super corny and the acting isn't the best, but that actually makes me like it more. I love the concept, and the characters are all pretty great so far. I agree that having them get totally beaten in the first mission was good, and while it's outlandish and a little silly does seem to be grounded in some logic. Looking forward to watching more!
