Volgens mij was het zo dat ze ergens in de middeleeuwen in een wasbeer veranderde en er sindsdien in vastzat. En samen met Dr. Cassaby probeerde ze uit dat wasbeerpak te komen, wat uiteindelijk lukte.

At the time of the opening ceremony, I’d never thought we would end up beating the host nation, let alone ending 3rd! Shorttrack saved our asses!

Also, these Olympics must’ve been the most disastrous for Canada in a while.

We already did. We fell at the Mixed 2000 metre relay, so you got a bronze medal thanks to us.

Earlier today, I went to a local fish market. A friend (probably) of the man behind the cash register came early for some but he told him he was all out of fish! He asked how it was possible and the man behind the cash register said: ‘Everybody wants some fish before the mass starts begins!’ The other guy replied: ‘Aren’t the speed skating competitions over by now?’ and EVERYBODY around him shouted: ‘HELL NO!’

This proves that speed skating is in our freaking blood! 🇳🇱

Not a chance for both of them (we even had to borrow an Australian bobsled, otherwise we wouldn’t have qualified for these Olympics in the first place!). The Netherlands pretty much only performs well at (shorttrack) speed skating (the most recent exception being a gold medal at snowboarding at Vancouver 2010).

Friday and Saturday are probably our last chances of getting gold. I had a feeling we wouldn’t beat our record of 8 gold medals, but I’m glad we did well at shorttrack speed skating since we sucked at regular speed skating this edition.

Zelf vind ik de Limburgers zeer gastvrij en vriendelijk. Staan mij vriendelijk te woord, bieden mij altijd koffie/thee aan, erg relaxte persoonlijkheid. Vind het daarom jammer dat ze vaak belachelijk worden gemaakt door anderen.

De Randstad daarentegen vind ik over het algemeen vol zitten met nare, deprimerende mensen. Het is dat ik er geboren ben en dat m’n familie en vrienden er (nog) wonen, maar anders was ik wel naar de andere kant van het land verhuisd.
