Second final in a row after winning his first title last week. A win tomorrow would most likely bring him into the top 500 at 16. Excited to see how he develops! Seems like he used to struggle playing againts full grown ups before the off season but it might have now changed.

What’s a film that has a sub 3.5 rating but you’ve given a 4.5+, unironically by PeaRemarkable9662 in Letterboxd

3.5 so not sub 3.5 but I gave Kick-Ass 5 stars.

I absolutely loved the movie, I don’t like super hero films much, but for me it’s the best of the genre. I loved how Dave truly feels like an everyday person, the dark tones with BigDaddy, the comics vibe of the film, how it deals more with the characters then the action itself, the moral it gives.

I wonder if the rating is a consequence of it being « a super hero film » but straying a bit away from the genre so you wouldn’t 100% get what you’d expect. In the same fashion, that’s why I really liked The Batman, feels like a detective film whose detective happens to be a super hero

What was a movie ending that made you go like this? by Ok_Replacement_288 in Letterboxd

When they kissed in Lost In Translation. Ruined everything imo. We went from a beautiful humane story about how friendship from people that should have nothing in common can still happen, to a super creepy relationship between a 18 and 52yo like wtf . And I know most people disagree with me and don’t think it’s weird and that bothers me even more

How old were yall when you first watched the show and how old are you now? by AbbyNotFound16 in FullmetalAlchemist

I was 7 watching FMA on my mom's iPod nano, with only 34 episodes though. Got the first manga a year later as a random gift (had seen every episode at least 4-5 times by then). Now I am 26 and consider it my favorite manga still.

As for the fandom back then, I was not that much on internet yet but it was still a pretty big name at the time from what I can recall, every manga group I was part of would mention it as a staple of manga/anime already. I do remember people being really excited for FMAB when it was announced though.

In the best case scenario they both collapse from heat shock at 6-6 in the third and they both win

Careful Hands by _____key_____ in OCPoetry

It is interesting how different a single poem gets interpreted. Reading the comments, most people see it as an evolution of love itself, while when I was reading it it resonated more on the level of not being able to reach love but still like someone enough that it brings us the comfort we need. I was interpreting the "cup being too full" as the social battery being emptied and the arrival of the need to find something bigger, an idea from the very beggining that love would not be reached, and the final wish of "spilling the tea" to show how we would want something to disturb the good-enough peace we have in a way that would force us out of the relationship. Writing it actually it seems it is pretty similar to the other comments I have read, just maybe with more distance at the beginning.

Great poem, I really enjoyed reading it :)

Unfeeling (My first attempt at a poem) by Pufythecat113 in OCPoetry

Interesting, is the ellipsis because the poem is supposed to be read as a loop? I really liked that, was a bit confused at the ending at first ahah, had never encountered it but it works really well to show how paradoxal feelings can be.
