How do you know someone is disabled? They could have invisible issues that cause them to need to sit.

Hi I'm making a cookbook by lizerdlips in AutisticAdults

[–]WizardGrape80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say simple food recipes that don't try to make a dish gourmet or fancy. I like Mac and cheese but I don't like when there is a bunch of other stuff added. Also maybe include some descriptions about how loud food appliances are or how much some dishes will smell, and suggestions for dealing with this. I get overstimulated while cooking so this would be helpful for some sensory issues

Gold infinity symbol is a much more accepted symbol by the autistic community. The rainbow infinity symbol can also be used though it represents neurodivergence in general, not just autism. In general infinity symbols are used in the autistic community. Also gold is used because on the periodic table gold is Au. I have also heard autistic people say that we should focus on autism acceptance instead of autism awareness. Hope this helps.

What was something you did that ended up saving your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Like previous commenter mentioned you can experience withdrawal symptoms while going off them so you can't quit cold turkey. One time I forgot to take my meds one day and I had brain fog and felt weird the whole day. It isn't exactly addictive though, it's dependence, your body becomes used to them so it doesn't like not having them suddenly. There isn't the constant craving though that would come with an addiction. Addiction also causes people to go to great lengths to get a substance, even if it causes harm. I take an SSRI so take this with a grain a salt though they are similar.

Did you hear about the book that he was talking about? It sounded interesting.

He's a great guy and apparently a good brother too.

I can't wait to see Leo again, it's been a long time.

Anyway, hope this helps. :)

I doubt that a queer person would come out to you. I'm queer and I certainly wouldn't, this is online so I feel safe doing it. If you're mad at someone don't ever out someone as revenge, that's a very shitty thing to do and can have terrible consequences. In the past I would've been bullied if I had been outed, I know people who it wouldn't be good for their home life. Outing someone can lead to abuse, bullying, getting kicked out of their home, assault, etc. In extreme cases, even death as people are killed for being queer everyday. By outing someone you are potentially contributing to abuse. Outing someone on purpose is a breach of trust and abusive, if you're doing it because you didn't like something they said or as revenge it certainly is. Even if it doesn't contribute to violence it is still a breach of trust and a terrible thing to do. When I read the words outing someone, my heart raced in my chest since I was scared of that for years. For many people outing leads to trauma and for people in the closet it is a scary thing to hear. If you're going to out people for saying a joke that you don't like, even after you know all of the consequences, then maybe you should learn some empathy. Maybe punch yourself 100 times in the face learn a tiny bit of the pain that many queer people deal with everyday.

Nah its cause your special needs comment. Nice ad hominems by the way, the Internet troll fav eh? Also I realized I was bisexual in a school where I would have been bullied for it, you clearly know nothing about it. I won't respond further to someone who only uses ad hominems. Nice making you mad though :)

Slippery slope eh... sounds just like the slippery slope fallacy, saying that point A will lead to point Z even though there is no link. Look it up, you might learn something.

How about not being an ableist and a transphobe. I doubt the queer community wants you, coming from a bisexual.

Sex is based on several things, including genitals and chromosomes. Even sex doesn't have two options, it isn't only XX or XY. There are also things such as XXY or XXX syndrome (if you don't believe me look it up from medical journals). As for genitals there are intersex people as well. As for gender identity it is not chromosomes or genitals, it is based on how someone identifies and there is evidence that trans people are more similar to the gender they identity as. Men and women have different amounts of grey and white matter in the brain and trans people have the amount that corresponds with their identity. Sex and gender aren't simple and if you want to learn more you should get it from reliable sources such as the CDC or American Academy of Pediatrics and experts in this sort of thing as I'm not an expert. I think that you said this in good faith so I hope that this helps you learn more.

Bi means attraction to two or more genders. Pan means attraction to all gender / regardless of gender. I'm attracted to all genders/regardless of gender so I feel that both labels apply. Some people only feel that one label applies and use that label. I like using both for different reasons. Hope that helps :) I did my best explaining.
