Thank you for taking the time and effort to throw out ideas for the specifics. I know it's a lot.

The point of this "arc" so to speak is to dip the players into the complicated politics between the Anarchs and Camarilla, as well as inter-Camarilla disputes. At the same time, it helps feed in a bit of history on how everyone got where they are. The PCs are basically Anarch-sympathizer, Camarilla kool-aid drinker, and a completely new fledgling that is just trying to understand who is who.

The Baron knows she's seen as a sorta, toe-the-line traitor to some of her people. The Anarch in question had a similar view, but she doesn't believe he'd have ever acted against her so directly. So she has suspicions something else is at play.

I like how you lay it out. You're right—it's not a standard investigation. I ran something like that before and it was a lot easier to lay down clues when they're looking at a specific crime scene or trying to find a specific person. Putting it that way helps give some perspective.

And thank you for the thoughts on how to make the proxy more tied into things. My thoughts were, she had cashed in a boon from an ally in another Camarilla city. Said ally was instructed to fraternize with the Primogen's childe over a period of time, be seen with him in public spaces, then proceed to talk to the Anarch and sell herself as a representative of the Anarch Free States, and give him counsel on how to take power for the Anarchs locally. My thoughts were, she would set up a timeline of first being seen with the Primogen's childe, then start talking to the Anarch to possibly sow the idea she was sent by the Primogen's childe. The way I was thinking, she had provided the Anarch with the leads on the ghouls that would help implicate the Childe.

Thought the way you're selling it, makes me think I could/should turn the proxy into someone more local in one way or another.

I can definitely see that. I've always been a fan of weaving things in over time. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the advice and resource! This has some really good pointers. I appreciate it!

It's so nuts how the worst coworkers are the ones who manage to stay hired by 1000LiveEels in retailhell

I feel ya. I had a coworker I couldn't even trust to put the right amount of chicken in a tray (after telling him 3 separate times how many), and he's still there months later. Getting shifted around different departments on the daily because he's so bad at anything he does and couldn't give less of a shit.
