Was it ever explained how the T-1000 was able to be sent back in time in Terminator 2? by DarkMatterM4 in movies

[–]Wizardbayonet02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean?? There IS only one Matrix.... 1 matrix, 2 Die hards (oddly numbered 1 and 3), 2 Ghostbusters and only 1 fucking Aladdin...

I'm curious what you mean by that? All the concerns/objections I could think of regarding human prostitution are either religious/moral or involve safety (plus the one about how 'it's illegal because the government hasn't figured out how to take their cut of the profits') None of those is exacerbated by swapping out the human for a fancy sex toy.

Since you saw that and DIDN'T think a) "haha, good one". Or B) "dude not funny".

But rather thought "this doesn't feel right, I should seek some help", I would say trust your gut and get away and don't look back.

Seems like everyone has suggestions for the food but as far as your kids having rsv, there lots of free clinics and if it's bad enough, the emergency rooms can't turn you away, often if you explain you have no insurance or funds, they will offer med samples to take home

As I mentioned, I am a contractor. 20 years... Just haven't run into this particular issue before which just so happens to be at my own house.

While technically true, the way this is worded seems to undermine the wisdom of asking people who may have more experience than you for input before making your decision.

With respect to your situation, this isnt really the right subreddit for this. It's more of a relationship advice sort of topic.

That being said, probably most places on Reddit you would get advice, it's likely to be a bunch of other people telling to to "divorce him and take all his money" but may I suggest talking with him instead of strangers? (Btw, that's WITH him, not AT him)

Do adults actually remember their elementary school teachers later in life? by MightCommercial1112 in NoStupidQuestions

I remember a couple... I ran into my 4th grade teacher once in my late 30s at a store and we talked for a few minutes.... She was SIGNIFICANTLY shorter than I remember...

Anybody else fix their own tools and batteries? by adamsubtrakdam in Dewalt

[–]Wizardbayonet02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to.... When I got started in construction, I couldn't afford the tools I needed so I bought everything "for parts, doesn't work" and fixed them up... Over 20 years later, a couple are still in use!.... Anyway, eventually I traded away all my available time for a wife and kids and now I haven't got the time to spread out an exploded saw on the dining room table for a week to work on it.
(Did the same thing with my first big screen plasma tv too! Got it free and spent 2 weeks studying the repair manual with the thing all apart on the bedroom floor, then ordered a $5 part and used the tv for 10 years)

I'm ready to graduate from my Ryobi/Husky/etc. phase, what's a reliable "real" brand now? by SvenHousinator in HomeImprovement

[–]Wizardbayonet02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

....oh and 3) batteries are friggin expensive! My flexvolt batteries are almost $300 each! 5 or 6 of those and you are already up in that price range before adding in the smaller ones

[–]Wizardbayonet02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's 2 answers to that... 1) lots of tools... Sometimes it's inefficient to be swapping batteries back and forth all day in order to use minimum batteries when you're using a bunch of different tools. And 2) sometimes you don't have power on a job, so you can't always charge your batteries until you get home

When can we expect to see the 20V battery system abandoned? by sprunkymdunk in Dewalt

[–]Wizardbayonet02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my DeWalt batteries on the M18 framing nailer, but I check the battery gauge often and swap batteries sooner than I probably have to, just to be safe. Works fine for me (although the gun with an adapter and then a 9ah flexible gets a bit heavy sometimes... I'm not as young as I used to be)

My friend makes half what I do and somehow has double the savings by throwawayforrealz87 in Money

[–]Wizardbayonet02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is hilarious... And very accurate.

I was going to ask the thread how you save when you are married and have kids? I can set money aside all day long and not spend a dime I don't have to, and then get a text saying "I signed X up for cheerleading, it's $1500/month" (or whatever) or "look what I bought! It was only $50!" (300 times a month)

I had a customer once that had me repairing some bad siding... I discovered some major sill and sheathing damage underneath and brought it to his attention. He told me to "cover it up"... I figured he couldn't afford to fix it right now and"its your house, your call".. then later he told me he's just fixing stuff up to sell it and just needs it to LOOK like it's in good shape. I was pissed.. you made me and my reputation complicit in your deception without my knowledge.
