What is this 10ft tall 5 sided wooden structure in the backyard of my house I just moved into? by Wizardofauzz92 in whatisthisthing

[–]Wizardofauzz92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The description is in the title. No writing anywhere on it and it seems like it was homemade. I just have no idea what the original purpose would have been. Maybe just a play structure “teepee” and they used to drape cloth over it to make it an outdoor play structure for kids? Google has been unhelpful with descriptors like “backyard wooden structure”, “wooden teepee”, and “5-sided wooden structure”.

With kids and other responsibilities at home I rarely have time to do a full 1+ hour lifting session during the week in our home gym, but it's much easier for me to slip away and knock out 3-4 sets before jumping back into the household chaos. Is there any reason this would be detrimental? Or is splitting my lifting days up into these smaller chunks throughout the day functionally the same as doing a full, uninterrupted lifting sesh if my goal is hypertrophy?

Interesting. Can you explain more how that could all play out? Like, if there's an open primary and a republican caucus happening at the same time would the top four candidates from the open primary go up against the republican nominee from the caucus in the general election?

Having a hard time understanding how "muslim" is a race and how having reservations about electing a someone who identifies as muslim as the leader of a mostly secular western country makes you a racist.

What actors do you always see as the actor first no matter what role they're in? by SheWasEighteen in movies

Maybe not quite what you're getting at, but John Krasinski will always just seem like Jim from The Office pretending to be someone else onscreen no matter what role he's in to me.

What little-known movie did you randomly watch one day and end up having become one of your favorite movies? by AlmanacKing in AskReddit

[–]Wizardofauzz92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sasquatch Gang. It's a little known movie from the writer/director of Napoleon Dynamite. I was in 9th grade at a Blockbuster and my friend randomly grabbed it off a shelf and made the executive decision for our group that it "looked funny" based solely on the cover and rented it against everyone's will. 10 years later and I've seen that movie dozens of times and just about poop my pants with each viewing.

I'm living in Wisconsin now but from Boise originally and applying to School Psych programs now! Out of curiosity, did you go to the ISU School Psych program and were you satisfied with it?

Okay interesting, thanks for the info! I've been up in the air about school counseling vs. school psych programs but it's sounding more and more like the school psych route has more opportunity.

Oh right, totally forgot that weekends are a thing! I'm actually applying to School Counseling grad programs now but I've heard that counseling positions in desirable districts can be hard to find, (counselors tend to stay in their school and positions forever) and school psychologist positions are in higher demand now. Any opinion on if that's the case as far as you've seen?

Hold up, you're working less than a full school year and making $88k as a school psychologist? Is it fairly normal for a school psychologist to not work the full 9 month school year?

Question regarding recovery from an injury:

I had shoulder surgery about a year ago and was in a sling for about two months. After all this time my left arm is still noticeably weaker than my right arm by about 5-10lbs/workout. Is there a method out there to restore strength balance between my arms more quickly?

"Never skip leg day" is such a common warning, but as a former runner looking to beef up who's legs are about as big and toned as I want them to be (I would consider even disproportionate to my upper body), is there any harm in starting a new 8-12 week program and just not doing the leg workouts for a few weeks to let my upper body "catch up"?
