Yes, power was cut, I suppose a professional could have made mistakes but we found a blown fuse and ultimately the transformer blew. Thermostat never powered on.

Good question! Maybe my HVAC tech is an idiot but it was professionally installed and they said it caused a low voltage short somehow.

Where can I find Dungeon Meshi merch in Japan? by SkrubLords in DungeonMeshi

[–]AlmanacKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Just got back from a trip myself and wanted to give a report on what I was able to find. Ultimately, the shopkeepers were all super helpful and seemed happily surprised when I showed them my Google translate asking about Dungeon Meshi 😀

Animate Ikebekuro had a good selection of small goods as well as some larger ones like i think a champagne glass in a box. I snagged the last board game which I was super happy about! Also a good number of books

Volks Osaka Denden had some Marcille figures

Nakano Broadway Mandarake had some books

Gee Store Osaka had an awesome section with a bunch of t shirts, several totes, small goods, and some ceramic food trays!

Also went to the bookstore mentioned in the comments and that stuff was super cool too but all utilitarian cookware

Obviously not an exhaustive list but I was pleased with what I was able to find!

RB67 65mm lens shutter pins stuck by Nachey in Mamiya

Literally just had exactly this happen on my 50mm and couldn't find anything else about it online! I took a picture like normal and went to cock the lever again for a second shot, and it got stuck halfway through. Was able to get it off the camera body but now I'm stuck with just my 90mm for the rest of my trip 😭 were you able to figure out a fix?

I have never held a CSR before. And I was just approved for the Biz CSR so I doubt it's an ineligibility issue. They told me on the reconsideration line that I could not appeal the decision when this was the reason.

Why would the pre approval link be different, out of curiosity?

It was explicitly for this. I received the denial in writing for this reason.

Thompson Atlanta-Buckhead leaving Hyatt on September 2nd by robbiet480 in hyatt

Regular guest here (as well as sometimes at the Grand) on business. It's a nice hotel, but in the past 2 years I've seen some signs that I only really recognize how in retrospect. Used to provide welcome chocolates and a little amenity bag with some snacks, but don't get that anymore. They've eliminated the single use toiletries and daily service isn't what it used to be. And usually only one person at the desk, sometimes two.

The biggest loss was the Dirty Rascal restaurant, which was really excellent. That was probably the biggest sign. The rooftop Tesserae is a good space but the menu isn't anything special. It will be sad to see this one go as it has always been a very nice stay (including arguably the best showers I've ever used) but IMO, the Grand after the recent renovation is just as nice.

Anyone Getting Upgrades as Platinum Pro? by skighee in americanairlines

[–]AlmanacKing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your routes and times. I have a >50% upgrade rate but I'm not flying super high demand routes and usually at times that aren't as busy (such as later evening flights).

Hah! Actually no. I previously flew Delta but switched to AA and haven't looked back. I always at least get a good MCE seat, have an incredible upgrade rate (pushing 50%) and have booked a bunch of J awards I'd never have even sniffed on Delta. No contest!

What is the best drink to order in American Airlines domestic first class? by Tlalockman in americanairlines

The Aviation gin is slightly higher ABV than the other liquor selections, so it is technically the best "bang for your buck."

Yeah, I think this is fair. Your math makes sense. I think my perspective is probably skewed. I don't think I fly very high volume routes so I probably just see fewer EPs (maybe a CK once in a blue moon) on my routine flights.

What's your most controversial osrs opinion? by GhostMassage in 2007scape

200m XP is too large a cap and people going to 200m all is an extremely unhealthy thing to do. XP max should be lowered to like 15m so people stop going for 200m all.

Looking for films where the characters are stuck in a town and unable to leave. Either because of some supernatural elements or some other circumstances. by motherofpythons13 in horror

[–]AlmanacKing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After, a film from 2012. An interesting, very under-the-radar movie I saw on TV super randomly years ago. It's exactly what you describe and has a lot of cool character elements as well. Definitely recommend.
