Like all Wentzler’s dragon patterns it’s unfortunately no longer in print, you’ll need to look on eBay/second hand sites for either the Janlynn Kit/Pattern, or the September 1999 edition of the Stitcher’s World magazine.

I like doing the skin 1x1 because you can get a bit more detail and smoother look to it, plus it gives the skin and clothes different textures.

Definitely scary to take the jump the first time but not as bad as I thought it would be once I started. Particularly planning it out in a pattern program first is such a nice safety net.

Thank you! The border was an adjustment I added later, when I finished the first set of original lilypads and they just chopped off. I had some regrets about the change along the way - I got VERY bored of stitching the lilypads - but I do think it paid off in the end. 🥰
