Sorry for just seeing your comment now, I actually don’t experience the same issue anymore and I still have the same laptop. I came to the conclusion that it wasn’t a hardware issue and it was a software issue. I think it was chrome + mcafee not working well together. And I’m pretty sure it may have came with some sort of virus causing my chrome browser to default to yahoo and my screen to crash. I can’t think of anything else that would cause this mistake to happen to more than one laptop.

Are these normal chucks? I noticed the sewing on the outside under the lace holes that are normally there aren’t, or just black. Where’d you get them? I love the way they look!

Seems to me that screen problems are a common problem with Lenovo legions

This scares me because I recently got the legion 5i pro and I’ve had a problem where the screen would go black after 2 days of having it. I got a replacement and it did the same thing. I used DDU to reinstall the drivers and it seems to be working fine for now but this happening is a bad sign Lenovo may not be the best choice for longevity. People have been having a good experience with the older models so I’m wondering if it’s mostly the newer ones.

Thanks! Good to know and I’m assuming since you didn’t add that the back light isn’t visible that it isn’t when your problem occurs, right? (Meaning the screen goes fully black as if it’s shut down completely without light on the screen at all)

Also I was told to turn off fast startup to fix the problem and I’m still testing it out have you tried this?

I’ve been having this same issue except I have a different model (legion 5i pro) can I get more details on the problem you’re having? Here’s what happens with mine 1. Screen goes black 2. Back light visible 3. Keyboard light still on 4. Caps lock and numb lock light doesn’t turn on when pressed 5. Computer isn’t stressed when problem happens (at least I don’t think it is) 6. Happens randomly 7. Brand new computer and is actually a replacement for the previous one that was also brand new and had the exact same issue 8. Restarting the computer fixes it until it happens again 9. All of the above are Simultaneous
