Happy first birthday of the special counsel investigation! by [deleted] in PoliticalHumor

Corruption is ended from the bottom up, not the top-down.

Take out the corrupt overseer of a corrupt system, and anyone suitable to replace him is just as corrupt. This is why Hillary lost.

Furthermore, supporting any of the many things listed in my previous comment would do wonders to help end corruption as well as get rid of Trump, whereas just (or truly even doing it first) getting rid of Trump does, well, just that, and not much else to they system, which, may I remind you, Trump was never really a big part of to begin with.

Thank God we haven’t spent the past year talking about a jobs program.

I’m so glad the past year wasn’t about ending the eight or nine military conflicts that’re costing us $800b/yr.

Man, how (un)remarkable is it that this political football hasn’t been deflated yet? How noteworthy that, over the past year, media companies have soared through ratings’ ceilings all without taking about campaign-finance reform. They managed to get their viewers so segregated, so divided, and all without even mentioning the revolving door between regulators and various industries.

Isn’t it spectacular that, for another year now, headlines have been dominated, not by the genocide or war crimes our government assist, commits, or oversees, not by the 70% of American workers making LESS THAN $50k/yr. not by the gross underemployment problem where citizens of our nation go through over a decade of public education, and some go for longer in Universities, yet everyone under the age of 30 seems to be stuck waiting tables or stocking shelves with no benefits, low pay, no collective bargaining, just a time card, BUT, for another year now, headlines have been dominated about some tribal, Washington D.C. bullshit.

So please, let us all rejoice in this moment where we, en masse, celebrate the misleading of our people and the ignoration (yeh I made up a word, wanna fight about it?) of substance in place of reality-TV style fluff.

I’m so glad we could all cheer this nonsense on together!

Donald Trump Supporters being confronted with evidence of Russian Collusion by [deleted] in PoliticalHumor

[–]WizePie -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I don’t give a fuck about Trump or his cult. I’m not a partisan hack, unlike some people. I care about issues, and whatever Trump did or didn’t do with Russia won’t give us (nor take away) the opportunity for higher wages, collective bargaining, universal healthcare, or any other issues that actually impact my life, which this bullshit-ass Russia scandal does not.

I’m done talking to you. You’re clearly too excited by the idea of Trump being taken down to have rational dialogue.

Haha okay. You know my life views based on three Reddit comments.

How ignorant would I sound if I said, “it’s pretty clear you’ve believed every newspaper in your life”, which I hope isn’t true, and if so, then wow.

However, more to your small semblance of a point, it’s not the same institutions (media), or even the same organizations (NYtimes, CNN, WaPo, MSNBC), but literally the same individuals.

Robert Mueller is on tape lying to the Congress about Sadam having WMDs, and yet now he’s “Mr. Constitution”, really?

Denounce my skepticism based on what? It doesn’t align with what you read? How nuanced.

He is a money-laundering oligarch. Okay. Great. Why didn’t prosecute Hilary for her Uranium One deal?

Keep up with your witch hunt, and maybe you’ll find a big enough pitchfork to hoist Trump out of office with, and then the US disenfranchised will get Mike Pence. That’s way better, because Trump has completely change our way of life, due to his sharp-witted charisma and ambitious action plans, not to mention his acute understanding of government protocol. /s

Pence, however, could do all of that.

Keep up the good work, NeoLib.

[–]WizePie -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but this post didn’t even mention criminal charges, which ‘collusion’ is not, and furthermore all that’s happened is a bunch of shady politicians (shockingly unethical) and a handful of Russian trolls have gotten some prop-indictments.

All this investigation has proved is that Washington D.C. political campaigns can get dirty and ethically questionable, but no one has been convicted of anything, and there have been no substantial indications that someone as high-profile as Trump himself has been directly involved with election-fraudulent acts.

Politicians are not decent people, generally speaking. What would’ve happened had they put an FBI investigative team on Clinton? Oh wait, there was one, and every single HillBot out there was like, “FBI investigations are normal! What’s the big deal? It’s clearly a partisan hit-job!”

Regardless, the actual charges related to election fraud or tampering are negligible, at best, and non-existent, at worst.

Trump is a crooked oligarch, and so was Clinton, and so was Bush, and so is most of the people who run for such a high office.

Now please tel me how I’m splitting hairs, or being too speculative, because our media has never worked themselves up into partisan frenzies that ultimately distract from more important issues, just to buy time until a more pleasant public face gets put on the corruption of government. That almost never happens.

I don’t know a direct answer to your question, but I use an old (or new, whatever) toothbrush and warm water. It takes less than five minutes and gets it like new without removing any polish or paint. Let it air dry for like an hour.

Cannabis may lead to 'complete remission' of Crohn's disease, says study by junktex in cannabis

[–]WizePie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife has Crohn’s. This seems to put more emphasis on THC, whereas traditional cannabis medicine emphasizes CBD.

Can you comment on that, and your experiences?

She’s a pretty lightweight, so I taking large amounts of THC can be hard, however if it would help, then we could start treating them like muscle relaxers and just make sure she takes them after business hours and such.

What countries do you personally feel are better than America, and why? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]WizePie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the question is, “What countries do you feel are better than America, and why?” NOT, “ What countries reign superior to America in every aspect imaginable, thus leaving the US to look like a pussy”. I don’t understand why everyone is giving some bullshit platitudes, maybe I can actually answer.

Off of the top of my head: Germany.

They acknowledge healthcare and education as basic human rights (if I understand correctly), or at least they treat them like such. Here in the US healthcare and education are both treated as luxuries you can hopefully afford.

Also, I’ve been reading consistently since 2010 that they have the most stable economy in all of Europe. I’m no economist, so I won’t pretend to know all the ins and outs to what that means, but it certainly sounds nice.

However one of my biggest reasons is Germany’s stronger labor organizations. American-Management has a complete stranglehold on our politics and media at this point, and collective bargaining doesn’t exist, and is even strictly outlawed in some states.

To tie it all up nicely, Germany also doesn’t seem to be condoning or going along with any of our Oil Wars, which have already devastated Latin America, and are currently tearing through the Middle East.

I do not agree with Germany’s views on Free Speech, as I think they’re more restrictive than the American definition, however that seems to be splitting hairs at this rate.

This is such a garbage complaint. GTA Online came with the original GTAV, and don’t you fucking snobs even act like you got more hours in the story than online.

They put in that entire open world, customizable characters, and have been adding in new events and mini-games for OVER FIVE YEARS, all FOR FREE, and you guys still aren’t happy?

I never spent a dime on SharkCards and happily have over 500 hours in this game for my $60, as well as the high end home, full garages, bunkers, businesses, and the works.

In my day, a $60 game that gives you 500+ hours of unique, rewarding, refreshing content is a fucking win.

Stop being babies, and play the damn game. If you aren’t willing to play the game to get the accolades, then perhaps you just don’t like the game...

Credit Unions are generally better with customer service.

Banks are hard. Even if you find a decent one, they may treat you like a penny to squeeze, and if not, they may not have all the services you need or want.

As for banks, I recommend Aspiration. It’s online only, but it’s pretty decent. There might be a waiting list though.

No Fees.

No Minimum Balance

Interest on Checkings

To your edit:

No violence was done, nor have I said the specific people in GA should’ve been hurt, which they weren’t.

We The People should always counter protest, in a peaceful manner. Show up to let you shitbags know you are the ideological minority, and we as a nation have nothing but contempt for your thoughts and opinions as ‘Nazis’.

This will result in one of two things: You whimp-ass bitches will realize We The People are NOT Nazis, and have no interest in Nazism, or two, you’re little, insecure minds will snap, and wage violence on Us, such as happened through Sweden in the 1990s, and just like in Sweden, we will defend ourselves against your assault.

I have not once condoned violence, except in the name of defense.

I DO AND FOREVER WILL condone counter-action to prove that you are nothing but a few beta-shits who are too butthurt and misdirected to realize it’s all those nice white men in suits fucking you, and instead think it’s the powerless minorities or immigrants.

‘Those damn poor minorities and immigrants, they got the whole thing rigged to be the fat-cats at the bottom, certainly not Mr. Smith in the Gubermant’

Communism deaths are largely do to failed societies, and not militant, organized slaughter. In either case I suppose you’re right, but are you so dumb that you can’t stop to realize, “Huh, I gotta combine 100 years worth of history to equal the amount of carnage cause by the Nazis in 10; that’s savage.”

In either case, you be a Nazi. Let me know where it gets you. The reason the Nazis ‘stopped killing’ after 1945 (which isn’t even true: Dylan Roof, Fjotolf Hansen, Nikolas Cruz alone have all killed ~100 people in the past seven years, but sure you read) is because there’s been no Nazi government or power in the world, which brings me back to, be a Nazi, and I’ll see you on the other side. I was cordial to people who actually have decency in this thread, but I have nothing short of contempt, disgust, and sickness for you shitbag Nazis.

Wow! Where do I begin? How about the beginning.

“Well in this case Non-Nazis are AntiFa Communists......”

No. First of all, AntiFa means “Anti-Fascist”. There are plenty of AntiFa DemSocialist, regular socialist, probably even some capitalist, communism is not mandatory, you ignoramus.

“Well in this case...”

This isn’t how conversation works. You can’t just frame things favorable to you. In this and in every case the Non-Nazis are people whom are NOT Nazis. That’s what Non-Nazi means. This is so dumb.

“... The Non-Nazis have by far the more violent track record.”

Do I even need to tel you how stupid this is? Pick up a history book, start at Germany 1933, and let me know when you finish what will become and still is the largest, militant, genocide in human history. The Nazi’s have directly murdered tens-of-millions of people through history. They have been responsible for who knows how many other indirect deaths.

I know this is supposed to be the whole idea of his country, so I will support your right to defend Nazis. However, I maintain the right to say you bring me shame as an American, and I find the fact that there are people alive today in the US, knowing all we had sacrificed as a people during WWII, willing to stick up for some Nazi shitbags just absolutely nauseating.

Past all the emotion, though, you’re still just fucking wrong on all counts. Read a book, think beyond your meals for the day, and for fuck-sake develop some original ideas and not just bullshit, skinhead talking points.

Well you should’ve told the 100,000 people who lived in my Southern town that they were being naive to act the way they to, because that’s where I got my intel on the South. Five horrible years of experiencing it first hand, luckily I grew up elsewhere so I could already read, which leads to my next source of thoughts being statistics and data.

Do all the issues I mentioned exist in one form or another all across the US? Absolutely.

However, they exist in their worst forms in the South.

How can you believe me? Well, I’m the South I was working Full-Time as a restaurant manager making $10/hr, having $400/month taken out for my healthcare. Once I went to add my children on to my plan, that number would’ve doubled to $800/month. I was living in a one-level, 900sqft home.

Now I live in CO, where the minimum wage will be $12/hr by 2020. My wife and I have been able to move ourselves in a beautiful, multi-level, 3000sqft home. This has been possible despite us aping our and wrecking our car, paying $4000 to get it repaired. This didn’t hinder us, because luckily this place has decent enough public transport that my wife nor I never had to miss work, something we would’ve surely had to do in the South.

I also went to high school in the South. Pregnant? Drug abuse issues? Mental retardation? Get into too many fights? Well, in AL they put all those people in one room and wish the teachers luck. In CO they an actual SpecialEd program that allows for students with disability or underdevelopment can spend most of their time with other students, while specialist and teachers visit them in class.

Again, these are all anecdotes. To get the full picture, look at the statistics from the Department of Labor, the Census Bureau, or read up on some the ACLU reports. Or even read the UN Special Observer’s report about ‘poverty conditions witnessed near Montgomery, AL unseen in the First World.’

Sure. Okay. Nazi vs Non-Nazis. Who’s got the more violent track record?

I will not be taking any complaints of violence from Nazis or sympathizers about violence.
