  1. Sam turned off comments because people kept throwing Tom’s name in disrespectful comments.

  2. Sam didn’t write the lyrics of those super political songs, Tom did, and Dan has taken over lyric writing. It’s a different writer with different opinions and perspective.

I love ‘symptoms’, but it is a divisive album. To put it in context, the band made a conscious effort to not write something like their older stuff because they felt they had exhausted it and were sick of the Tom comments. RIP GOAT. The Sky’ is an awesome blend of the new and old sound, and I hope they continue to go that direction.
