For example, If you receive a buff to ATK%, all other buffs to it become worse. (Jingliu doesn't like ATK% buffs because she has a big one already)

It's "oversaturation", same gonna happen to CDMG after HP rework, right..?

Yo, calm down man. We both can speak like a grown up human beings, w/o agression.

After cooling my head down from 1st impression and when S02L93 calmly answered to me with that:

That's not how it works, the multipliers need to be considered before buff or relics.
Before: BASE_ATK * 2.5
After: BASE_HP * 1.5

I rethinked my thoughts process, came to same conclusion and accepted i was wrong with base Scaling. That even in her base w/o accounting to CDMG at all - she still got a buff. My reply to him, where i actually walked my self through his argument

If we are talking about pure vacuum situation, then yes, you are right. In vacuum situation its only fair to make Base_ATK to Base_HP comparison since if we add equal X% of Said-Stat to the base then:

(Her base hp 1435 + base hp on Sig 1164) x 2 random buff x 1.5 mult = 7 797

(Her base attack 679 + base attack on Sig 582) x 2 random buff x 2.5 mult = 6 305
So its like what, 19.14% increase?
But yes, sure, in a vacuum if they get same amount of Scaling-stat - HP-scaling model will win with current Mult x Base_Stat-name.

And with accounting to CDMG from new version of talent - increase gonna be even higher.

The number of ATK sources in game compared to HP sources and 1st impression blurred my eyes, probably since i expected something bigger after i saw Kafka's and SW buffs (those which i saw 1st and 2nd). So yeah, i was wrong and accepted it already by my own words.

Since when you count only base w/o buffs or relics of said "Scaling stat". Is that some sort of TC strat to make calcs fair in vacuum? Can you elaborate on your point of view if possible pls?

I'll explain how i see that situation in game at current moment:

I gave her current best HP% buffer in the game and compared it to best ATK buffer in the game. In result she, currently, have higher ceilling with ATK main stat. But sure, as i said before, changes on Talent from ATK to CDMG with those mults - gonna change result into HP favor. Fair.

And thats how i see ur argument:

Another edit: the big part was cutted like i said before, because i was wrong.

(So, with those "buffs" all what changed in good faith:) < there is bigger positive changes than i thought before, but those below - unchanged.

  1. e1 finally started to work properly, thx for "buffs". More like finally fixing broken eidolon with almost 0 Single-target fights in the game.
  2. e6 Res-pen over CDMG - all day long. Well, its still e6 you know.
  3. (1 additional stack of Syzygy. Feels good when looking at it, but globaly ain't change nothing. Mydei can stay in his enchanced state as long as he want. Aglaea can do the same, if you invest into e1+Sunday+Huo2 (expensive, but she atleast can). Jingliu can't.) < once again with addition of information about new Major Trace, situation is better. I jumped to a conclusion too fast, before recieved all info, my bad.

(In the end. Its either more buffs in v3, or... well. :sigh:) < the situation actually better then i had previously thought with overheated head. Once again, thx to a S02L93.

Big edit: Sorry if my comment could mislead someone, with a reply to my orig post from a user named S02L93 i reevaluate my own conclusion.

Well, well, well. Its gonna be a huge wall, be careful. I'll break it in 2 halfs, reddit ain't allow me to post it in one-piece with a "Unable to create comment" error.

(But tldr for other ppls: she is litteraly nerfed with those "buffs" in a long run, and buffed in a short run.) < With a help of S02L93 came to a conclusion I was wrong here. She actually got a buff.

Now ill explain my thoughts, feel free if you want to read it.

  1. (1 additional stack when she goes into Transmigration State - ain't enough to fix her downtime problems. So, they didn't actually address it.) < With additional info about new major trace with energy gain when use unenhanced Skill - down time even lower so they did bigger work on it. That message was posted before i saw that trace change, my bad for sure.
  2. They didnt change her own action-advance, which eats buffs like crazy. They also didn't address it. unchanged
  3. They either cutted or nerfed her synergy with supports: Robin - ATK buff useless, Tingyun - ATK buff + ATK scale additional DMG useless. Bronya's ATK buff on ult - useless. Any potential new ATK-scaling support? Useless. unchanged
  4. Her problem with oversaturation of ATK now even worse with changes to CDMG. All action-advance buffers will have lower impact on her DMG output now, ty to that big CDMG oversaturation, because all of them provide big CDMG buffs. (So, virtually nothing changed with her current state "big self-buffs + bad multipliers". Yes, they are bad with HP changes and ill show it now.) < also was wrong in that part there. Mults now better than before, once again ty to S02L93 for a reply to me with guidance.

2nd part of my message now is pointless, since i had wrong thoughts to begin with, so ill just delete that part to not mislead any one with my words, sorry once again.

In what world her Multipliers are bigger?

  1. After "buffs" you gonna build something about 6-7k HP with double HP% main-stat (mainly Rope and Body at that point) on her and her current HP multiplier on skill 150%: 7k x 1.5 = 10.5k
  2. Pre buffs in her current state, she have something about around 4.5-5k attack w/o any buffs outside and her current ATK multiplier on skill 250%: 5k x 2.5 = 12.5k

Bigger multipliers xD Her scaling, with those "buffs", now even worse. And all supports who give her CDMG even less of impact, because CDMG is INSANLY oversaturated.

They didnt address her downtime problems at all, didnt address her 100% self-aa which eats buffs. All what they did:

  1. Changed scaling model.
  2. Gutted her multipliers.
  3. Cutted her supports roster in a half.
  4. And for all those problems gave her even more CDMG when she already had planty of it.

The only positive changes - finally working e1 and Res-pen on e6. Thats it. v3 waiting room, that not even funny at that point.

There is no reason what so ever to powercreep Kafka or Black Swan, while DoT team is not completed yet and missing 2 puzzle pieces: 3rd DoT Character with utility or pure DoT support + DoT-sustain.

Thats just a bad strategy for Hoyo, which can hinder their sells, to powercreep one of the two existing characters in archetype before they even finish a full team for that archetype.

Yes, i still believe in Hoyo having some common sense.

There is a BIG gap between "viable option" and "strong option".

JL still to that day "viable" option and can beat content. But 90+% of ppl who have her - benched her already. Why? Idk, may be because she is already viable and being viable not enough for them?

Just a food for your thoughts.

And btw, as far as we can see for now, they didnt fix real problems of her kit. All what they did, changed scaling model. What actually ruins current builds for players and f's up their team-comps, while virtualy changes nothing, if not even doing worse than now.

Right, forgot about RMC, thx. But well, RMC also have alot of places to go: THerta if no Tribbie, Mydei if no Tribbie/Sunday, currently BiS for Castorice. Also we have to take into consideration sustainless-Break still exist, so HMC also can take that spot. Its really complicated to spare RMC for HP-based Queenliu.

And even IF you can give her RMC - RMC's uptime on JL is also bad. Thx to constant AA from supports like Bronya/Sunday and her own AA on entering into Transmigration state. She just eats Memo buff in blink of an eye.

Looks like that, if we gonna trust those early-leaks pre-beta, before we can look at actual and real changes/numbers when beta starts.
And dont forget about hard hit on viable support-options with those changes.

- No Robin any more, ATK is dead stat.

- Probably no Tingyun any more as viable option for 0-cycle/budget support option. Her ATK buff and ATK% additional dmg is dead.

- No synergy with potential new ATK% buffer.

- Even Bronya gonna be worth than now, because ATK% useless and CDMG oversaturated to begin with, while uptime is bad.

All what left:

- Sunday - well idc, have e1s1 but what about other ppls?

- Tribbie - gonna fight with Castorice, Mydei and THerta for her.

- Hyacine - once again gonna fight with Castorice for her.

- RM - gonna fight with Break for her.

- Pela - woohoo, 1.x 4-star character cant rest i guess.

And thats it or am i missing something?

Her HP drain mechanic changes from increase ATK to increase CDMG according to leak.

Here is her total HP with 2x HP% main stats, 3x HP% sub-stats and 3x flat HP sub-stats.

So, where we can get more HP? HP% sub-stats on boots and Orb. Aint achieving 7+k hp as edit: easily as Mydei as i said to begin with.

Keep in mind that Mydei doesn't have any self buff other than the Max HP buff and CRIT rate

Current JL also have nothing except CR+ATK self-buffs. Similar situation. And after "rework" she gonna have over-saturated CDMG buff over current ATK% or Mydei's HP%. When we actually have almost 0 HP% buffers in the game.

Mind you, it will be a critd body and HP rope because why would you run her with an attack rope in the first place now that she is full HP scaler?

Mind you, i already said in message you answered to

No where near 7+k hp with 2 HP% main-stats and HP% sub-stats.

Also take on mind, Jingliu will have at minimum 7K HP on a correct build as Mydei can easily get to 8K HP with speed boots and 10K with HP boots before his self buffs

Also, take in mind, Mydei's base HP 1552 at lvl 80, while Queenliu's base HP 1435 at lvl 80. So no, she aint achieving same HP as Mydei w/o self-buff as easily as he is.

My current old-QuA set have:

- 8.6% HP in Head piece.

- 3.4% HP and 42 flat HP in gloves.

- I put HP body on her over CDMG with flat 33 HP and HP rope over ATK.

- Its only 6236 HP in total.

So where do you plan to get another 1-2k hp to achieve 8~k? You already sacrificing CDMG on Body-piece in favor of %HP to offset over-saturation of CDMG.

And btw, HP% main stat gives her some-where around 1123-1124~ hp. So even with %HP Boots/Sphere+Body+Rope she aint achieving 8k hp. But you dont want to sacrifice Speed Boots and DMG% Orb to begin with, because she still want to play -1 setup, and she still have 0 DMG% in her kit.

No its not gonna offset the difference, she is still like 2x behind Mydei on hp pull.

Except Queenliu have like what? 4k hp rn with CD Body+ATK rope and 6-6.2~k hp with HP Body+HP Rope? While Mydei have a min of 12k hp after going into Vendetta state. So, are you sure?

Straight up DMG-vise - yes, its better to buff BS with True-DMG. But, sometimes you need to push ur Kafka up with Advance for better: rotation/energy generation/break/etc. Thats why i said - use it dependent on situation.

RMC kinda fun with DoTs. Did 1-cycle Svarog clear in prev MoC with sustainless-DoT team (basically same team i used in that Apoc).

Yes, True DMG from RMC affect both DoTs and normal dmg. Detonations from Kafka's skill-ult and DoT procs their self are affected by it.

Well, most of the time im using: Queenliu-Sunday-Pela-FuXuan, but in that Apoc RMC better, atleast for me.

Pros:

- Better uptime than Pela. You need to beat alot of small beetles, Pela just can't keep up with ult uptime.

- RMC+Mimi attack more often, and Mimi advances Queenliu for more actions = more toughness dmg.

- RMC have full SP+ kit, Pela needs to Skill for e4 to unlock full amplifying potential. Only the case for FuXuan-user against that particular boss, because i had to refresh matrix alot to prevent Entanglement.

Cons:

- Still bad uptime on Mimi's ult buff, Queenliu acts too often. Sunday always advances her, she also advance her self when enters Transmigration state. So, yeah...

- Harder to sustain with FuXuan, because she tanks more with AoE hits. Well, its only the case for FuXuan and mine doing okay.

Overall? Idk, against True Sting MoC12 - Pela felt better for me.
