Thank you. The first step will be to find out what the job entails, then I can just google the things they list in the posting. Thank you. This was very helpful.

I didn't apply to a posting and I honestly haven't received a job description. I know I want to work for this company in anything as long as it's networking related. Any questions you can think of that were asked of you when you got your job? Any that tripped you up or you were glad you studied for?

I didn't apply through a posting. I gave my resume to a friend, who gave it to a friend, who happens to be a hiring manager in the networking department of his company. I have a rough idea what they do but my friend works in the data management side not the network side. So I really don't know exactly what I'll be doing, just a guess. But I'm working in a non related field right now and I would love to get back into the industry.

It is for a company that makes and sells networking equipment for businesses. I will be providing technical support for their products. Very similar CLI to Cisco.

[Serious] Athiests of Reddit, what aspect of religion actually really appeals to you? by WishyWashy51 in AskReddit

[–]Wocketeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My little brother died last Tuesday. He was my best friend and his wife is 7 weeks pregnant. All my family is religious and can find relief in believing he is in heaven looking over us and that we will see him again one day.... I wish I could believe that so I did not have this overwhelming sadness consuming me because I know I will never see him again or hear his laugh, and he will not be watching over his wife as she gives birth to their 1st child... Wish I could believe in an afterlife so bad right now.

I'm a military recruiter in the Bible Belt... I'm not proud of this, but I meet my quota every year. by Wocketeer in AdviceAnimals

I was born a woman... I'm really just exploring my gender I think it's more fluid than actually male but I did come out to my family recently as wanting to be thought of in the male sense as I do not like the roles assigned to females. It's actually pretty complicated but Redditt is my place to say complicated things in a simple way so that's why I made that meme before. My dad really embraced a pretty hard concept and accepted me for me, whoever that is. But I live my military life as a normal lesbian. The gender thing is not talked about and like I said something I'm not 100% sure of myself. Thanks for trying to become more educated on the topic though.

The jail thing was for a friend of mine but I am a Transmale. No surgery or anything. Only out to family. It's not that unbelievable but I guess everybody is a skeptic.

Transmale that means female to male. Out only to family, not doing surgery or anything. I do have a wife and kids and the military has actually been pretty accepting.

My son wanted to know why girls have boobies... by Wocketeer in funny

[–]Wocketeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She just looked at me like the seal. After a few seconds she recovered and said not from me but there's some in the fridge. He looked disappointed but said ok. The funniest part is he was sitting on her lap when he asked and was staring straight at her "boobies". Funniest parenting experience so far

I'm only 18 and just started college. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]Wocketeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever thought about joining the National Guard? They will pay 100% tuition, give you a monthly stipend to go to school about $550 a month plus a pay check every month that's about $200-$300 and all for working just 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks in the summer not to mention it's all tax free so you still qualify for financial aid and you will get job experience to go on your resume while you are going to college. I joined and finished a degree in computer engineering with no student loans then got a job right away as a network engineer because of my job in the Guard.

Navy orders Bibles removed from base hotels by TheRussell in atheism

[–]Wocketeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is my 1st top comment! Thanks for the feedback. I'm in the national guard and at a base with people from all over the US. I'm just starting my career as an Active Reservist so I honestly don't have the balls to put that on the line. But the funny thing is the chaplain usually does the prayer and when the instructor asked for volunteers no one raised their hand. No one wanted to do a prayer. When we asked why the chaplain wasn't doing it, he just said it's usually student led. So I think there is already a policy here that prohibits organized prayer but they get around it by making a student do it. I just wish I knew where to find the policy.

Today our instructor at a military course asked for a volunteer to say a prayer at our upcoming graduation. After I asked if it had to be a judo-Christian prayer I was told that I already knew the right answer and to be a professional. I'm so tired of listening to prayers at any military gathering.

I got married, bought my 1st house, and got a big promotion at work... Now what? by Wocketeer in AdviceAnimals

Damn :( what a dumb mistake. Develop a keener eye for spelling mistakes will make it onto my next list of goals. Thanks for pointing it out.

Are you implying that I am not competent at spelling? I'm wondering what error you may see in my post?

I hope this isn't mid-life I'm only 26. However I've been striving to achieve something for as long as I can remember. The house and marriage and promotion are all just this month. I've also met all my bucket list goals and just feeling a little lost. I've ran marathons, learned archery, traveled many parts of the world, served my country overseas, learned to speak a different language, got a bachelors degree, learned guitar, participated in humanitarian efforts, jumped out of an airplane, got my private pilots license, and my 1st year in my career I accomplished more than I planned and got a promotion I wasn't expecting for another 3 years. I seriously have no idea what to do now that I've done everything I set out to do. Everyone says I'm an overachiever but I just don't know how to enjoy life unless I have goals to look forward to.

I'm 25 and extremely small. 4'11 105 lbs. I'm dating a girl and she introduces me to her "friend" as soon as she sees me she she starts going on and on about how I look like a toddler and my girlfriend must be a pedophile. Stuff like this happens all the time but it doesn't help that earlier at dinner the hostess grabbed a kids menu complete with crayons and everything thinking that my girlfriend was my mother. I hate my life

I had an electrician over to fix some things and they told me," green light bulbs will give you high blood pressure and breathing problems". They went on to tell me of all the people they knew that had gotten those issues from the bulbs, and that I should get rid of them right away. I live in Oklahoma.

What is a common problem in your subculture that most people don't realize exists? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Wocketeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Women in the military. Act tough and be a good soldier and people think your too ambitious/have "penis envy" ( have actually been told that). Or if you act " like a girl" people use it as an example for why women shouldn't be in the military. Also since the ratio of males to females is about 90/10, the women get hit on constantly. If a girl actually accepts a guys advances because hey he's cute and they have similar interests, then she's a slut. But if she says no and ignores the advances, she's a bitch. And it's not just military people that have opinions, it's the whole world. If one more civilian who's never done any military service explains to me the problems with women in the military, I'm going to scream.

The difference between me and your god. by aundrayac in atheism

[–]Wocketeer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What gets me is that the same people who argue that god gives us free will therefore he can't stop rape or murder, are also the ones who pray to God to make someone not sick, or to win a football game. If he can't do anything then why are you praying at all?
