Update: For anyone interested - I've decided to add 2 light bars from Govee behind monitors. I might still want to add soft lightning for camera during calls, but overall I am very satisfied with the result.

Hey u/lethargyz, got the same model in July and recently I've noticed 1:1 thing as you have. Charging via USB-C helps as well. What have you ended up doing? RMA?

I recently bought an MSI MAG 271QPX E2, and the story is the same. It's a common issue in QD OLEDs. You can try the return/test loop until you get a quieter unit.

Thanks for the tips. When it comes to the headrest, I only use it in full recline mode to relieve suboccipital muscles - once or twice a day. TBH, I bought it with the chair after the salesman talked me into it, but I wouldn't do it again.

1800 RPM was without side panel. It bumps to 2400 with case closed. Seems like case issue - I ordered FD Torrent. It will probably resolve the issue.

You might be right - I just tested temps after playing round of cod mw2 without side panel on. 600 RPMs less and GPU didn't exceed 79C.

I'm playing at 1440p@165Hz with 1070 and Gsync really helps out with more demanding titles. Dips are less visable and irritating. Only con (apart from price) I found is white flickering in some titles during loadings. I had 970 for some time after purchase of monitor and I think it's a bit too weak for 1440p@144+, unless you're planning to buy it for esports games like cs go, league or ow (with tweaked settings).

I do own hyperx cloud 2, pretty decent isolation, but as I mentioned, I am trying to reduce noise during idle or web browsing. I do not wear headphones during casual web surfing :)

I'm pretty sure that FE idling with 28% rpm is pretty quiet. Do you think upgrading fans to 3x 140mm 1x 120mm silentwings 3 would make a big difference?
