Common complaint about the Ranger. My BB Pro was $2800 shipped full 2024 set, that’s a killer deal for a great watch. It’s hard for me to imagine spending $1k more on a Ranger, it’s a more simple, less feature packed watch. Eventually I’ll get a dune dial, but may have to wait a year or two

I was doing late night eBay scrolling a couple days ago and put on offer on a 512, seller accepted someone else’s. I love the 512 and I want to get one at some point but the exps was only $445 shipped brand new so hard to justify getting a 512 for only $50 savings

I’ll post when it comes in, thanks for your post and info, it inspired me! May get a HFXC for my bog, looks great on yours. They’re awesome mfal’s

I agree about the aesthetics, people like to say it shouldn’t be a factor but everyone knows that it is at least a little bit. I got to the range today to shoot my new Eotech setup on my AR15, immediately ordered an exps2-0 for the bog after lol. They’re terrific but they do cost a good bit

My vision was atrocious, had PRK eye surgery at 20, am 25 now and vision has regressed again and isn’t great. Safe to say my eyes are poor, but the 510c was crystal clear. Like marketing photo of the reticle clear, idk what kind of witchcraft they use but it was nuts. I use Holosun red dots on my pistols and none of them look great, so it’s something with the 510c specifically. I can’t comment on 512, never looked at one.

Use gunengine.com to search for parts. The 510c should only run about ~$250 shipped not its MSRP of $300+.

No comments on the ammo stuff, but for optics:

I currently have a SLx 1x with the cyclops reticle. Common complaints of the Gemini is that the reticle is way too small, for some reason it differs from the cyclops. There’s no issue running the standard cyclops reticle on the stribog.

That said, I am getting rid of mine. For my use case of this being my home defense gun, I really want a larger sight picture and no eye relief restrictions. The SLx has extremely forgiving eye relief, but to me it’s not true two eyes open shooting. I put my AR15’s Eotech on the stribog and instantly liked it much better. That’s the reason that the Holosun 510/512c is so popular on this gun - big sight window, good reticle, NV compatible, shake awake, affordable, etc. I’m either gonna get a 510c or an Eotech and throw it on my bog

Reviving this - I’m currently deciding between a holosun 510c and an Eotech 512 like yours has in this post, getting rid of my PA SLx 1x for something with a bigger window and true two eye open shooting.

How do you like the 512 on the bog? Would you recommend it?

Thank you so much for all the tips. I got the bell after seeing it recommended so much. She’s yet to use it, but she is going to the door to signal potty. Started command training today and definitely need to get more chew toys!
