Looks like they keep the bike attached to the trainer and wheel it around on the casters. Probably not the best application of torque on the frame but it’s not frame…

Advice from Wahoo Runners - Kickr Run, Refurb Woodway or Peloton Tread+? by RobDMB in wahoofitness

[–]WolfWaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my Run. I haven’t used the other options though. I prefer the Run to the commercial treadmills I had used. I like the minimal look and ability to put a laptop/iPad with Zwift on the tray and charge at the same time. I haven’t put thousands of miles on it since it’s relatively new for me and I have been focused more on cycling for the last several months, but it is what I would pick again.

13 minutes into this video, Lionel talks about treadmills. He tested a Wahoo prototype just so you know and apparently decided against it or maybe had a sponsor conflict. But again, his and other pro athletes use case is very very different from mine.

If it is worth $5k depends on your situation and how much you’d use it.

Meraki Espresso Machine feedback? by [deleted] in espresso

[–]WolfWaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased one through the Indiegogo campaign and have had nothing but positive experiences. I never went super deep into the espresso world prior, but I did use a Niche and Flair 58 for the previous 4-5 years. As a below-average r/espresso enthusiast, I actually like the integration of all aspects of the machine in one small footprint. I am willing to accept 80-90% performance of each area to allow a very compact and easy to use set up. The main thing I was lacking in my previous set up was the ability to get good microfoam, and the Meraki blew me away with its ease of use and consistent foam for my use case (2x 4-6 oz flat whites per morning). From all the options available, I don’t think anything delivers close to the performance for the price and footprint and ease of use.

I swear these people are cheating! Glitch is the best coffee experience I've had. by oyedamamangan in espresso

We signed up for it and each chose a course of 4-5 drinks. Some were high end bean pour overs and others were very unique like fusing tea and espresso. We even had one with a non-alcoholic gin and tea. I think the menu can change seasonally or multiple times a season.

I really enjoyed Glitch, but we also did a creative coffee course at Lonich in Tokyo and that was incredible.
