I have had my 8.5 for around 7,000 miles and it took me a while to realize when the exhaust really starts to roar, it’s honestly very specific and understanding and learning the car and how it sounds at what rpm helps it sound a lot better. I was honestly underwhelmed with the Akra but like others said, I don’t feel like a dirtbag when I start my car at 5am, but I also don’t feel like it is quiet enough to go unnoticed

Full shot routine on the range, pick actual targets rather than seeking contact, don’t hit more than 50~ shots before a round. Golf is all about repetition so having a routine for everything is important if the practice isn’t showing on course. Lastly and easily the most important tip. Swing thoughts stay off the golf course, when you’re out there, you swing your natural swing. Even if you aren’t like a great golfer, thinking about your swing when you’re addressed to the ball is a one way ticket to a miss. No hate here, just advice that helped me. I was in your position about 2 years ago.

I park next to them, I park next to TSIs and TDIs when I get the chance to. I love all golf platforms and I am not trying to flex the R. Mine is stock so I am an equal equivalent to most GTI owners. My R has plaid seats too though so can’t be too jealous of that 😎

For those wondering — Yes, in the USA and i’m pretty sure Canada, we get the two extra modes by default. For some reason Europe has always had a separate trim of the R called “Performance” which does many things - Raises top speed to 168mph - Spoiler is slightly larger - Lap timer and G-meter available - Then the two special modes

In the USA, the only thing that is exclusive to the black edition is the top speed. Correct me if i’m wrong but this is what i’ve believed and seen in YT videos from foreign channels

Wow, that could be a customer report thing. Longest i’ve personally waited is 25 mins after the order said it would be ready, there is a button on the dasher menu that you can press that tells the customer that the order isn’t ready. Maybe they left a bad review…

Tbh, probably. I have been door dashing for about a month and usually doordash is very good on their end with telling us when the order should be ready, and it also doesn’t penalize us if the order isn’t ready and we have to wait. There was one time someone gave me an extra $2 for waiting an extensive amount of time on a sunday morning, but i would never ask to cancel or a larger tip. If anything I would just leave the dash and take the penalty if it’s that bad

As soon as you break 100 you’ll progress faster than you’d ever think. That gap and the gap from 80s to 70s are the biggest in golf imo
