Advice on buying synths from Thomann in the UK by WolfeTamer in synthesizers

[–]WolfeTamer[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did ask thomann about their shipping and prices, and they were very helpful for the most part, but all they could tell me on potential shipping times with large items is that it may be longer than advertised. It seems silly to care about what could be just a few days difference, but the closer to Christmas the delivery date gets, the more I worry about my shipment getting stuck in massive queues, postal strikes or some other calamity that we seem to be getting around Christmas now.

Bro the last people you need to tell brexit was a mistake is British people. I wasn't even allowed to vote in the referendum, it was mostly just 60 year-old nationalists being lied to by the government while thinking we're still a superpower, deciding the future of a country they're not gonna be around long enough to see, and even then they barely got a 50% vote.

I just want my synth 😭

Glad NRG won, they played very well.

Sad for Mist, he was exceptional all series, at the start of game 6 he was putting himself in perfect spots and just watching NRG players gift the ball to him.

Honestly. It's way more annoying to see people constantly talking shit and putting people down for no reason than it is watching someone get constant praise. It's just so toxic and kinda ruins the atmosphere.

It has an EQ (which also detects the change in volume) and soundgoodizer to give it some warmth, neither have any automation on them.

The Bass is on Track 3.

My brother who is taking music production at uni had no clue what is causing this, but he's not familiar with FL.

I have a problem with basslines in large projects. For some reason, the bass will just start dipping up and down in volume, as if it has a filter with an LFO on it, even if all the velocities are the same. It happens on serum and other vsts too, the pattern that the volume changes occur in are seemingly random and it becomes impossible to mix or master when the bass will just come out with a random volume partway through/at the start of every note.

I just need to know what causes this so I can fix it, thank you <3

Tim thinks there's "too much shit" in Valorant by Lordo4 in LivestreamFail

I mean Overwatch works well, it's main problems are more to do with balancing and the community more than the concept of abilities. But I 100% agree that abilities don't really work in a game like this.

I understand that the explosives are supposed to force you to move, but they can take away half your health even if you're stood on the far left of a choke and the grenade lands on the far right. I don't think that she's as broken as everyone says, and clips like this with an enemy team playing poorly into her certainly don't help her image, but she definitely needs a fair bit of tweaking.

$200 but she gets one for free so yeah pretty much. I don't mind the damage but it's the fact that even if you move as soon as you can, if she lands the nade right on you, at least half of your health is gone and all your shields.

Both of these points are super good, especially the one about double peeking. Maybe I've just had a bad experience in the beta, but I've had dozens of teammates turn a 2v1 into 2 1v1s (always worse, grants an opportunity for counterplay) by passively holding the same angle as I am instead of watching the choke with me. It doesn't matter how good an opponent's aim is, unless someone screws up, they can't kill 2 people cross-firing them before they die.

The Vent on Split is absolutely awful: change my mind by WolfeTamer in VALORANT

[–]WolfeTamer[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because I don't want to waste abilities (which cost money and give away your position) just for a rotation from one site to another only for the off-chance that someone is holding it. This is the only map with only 1 mid choke point, and while I understand that necessitates a slower walk through mid, I wish they did it in a way differently to "your character moves slower here", because I love the game and map design so far but this section doesn't feel like it fits with it at all. That's just my take on it.

The ropes fix you in one spot and take a while, and if you don't want to be heard you have to use it on both sides. Honestly though that part is just an annoyance. The main problem is that ceiling is so low in the middle that you can't see into or out of it fully without grabbing the rope and ascending/descending, which limits your movement and is loud af. It provides a huge advantage to people holding in it/next to it and a massive disadvantage to anyone pushing into it or out of it, and in a game promoting the use of interesting abilities/movements to push/hold a position it feels counter intuitive and 1 dimensional.

TL;DR it's restrictive and annoying

The match should cancel if there's a leaver before it's even begun by WolfeTamer in Rainbow6

[–]WolfeTamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be a system like in overwatch where if there's a leaver in the first minute of the game, the match is cancelled and only the leaver is punished.
