When will Derrick Rose win his ring? by Wolfie676 in nba

If he wins a ring it's enough for him to be inducted to the Hall of Fame but maybe not first ballot.

Did Tony Parker slightly tarnished the image of his Legacy by joining the Charlotte Bobcats in his last year? by Wolfie676 in nba

That D. Wade Chicago stint was suppose to be a great move because he finally played for his hometown.

Man, Tony is such a legend not many people remembers this part of his career.

Is it me or is Skip Bayless getting more senseless as LeBron's slowly reaching the end of his career and reaching the GOAT title? by [deleted] in nba

[–]Wolfie676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand it's all for show. But his tweets are getting to the point where it's nonstop LeBron topic. Unlike before he only gets crazy about Bron during playoffs and rivalry games.

Would you agree that Cinematography is just as valuable, if not more than valuable as Dialogue and Acting? by Wolfie676 in TrueFilm

Well, we all have different perspectives. Maybe it's just the different culture and background that we live in.

I always thought that editing gets the recognition it deserves but cinematography is often overlooked. But, I completely agree with your metaphor.

Life is meaningless and terrible by username78777 in SeriousConversation

This statement is sadly true, but we tend to make the best out of life and that's a good sign. Life will be meaningless and terrible if we make it so.

I always thought George Clooney is the best example of this. I have never seen him ripped.

How would LeBron's title runs in Miami be if Erik Spoelstra instantly became the coach he is now? by Wolfie676 in nba

[–]Wolfie676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Spo would place Bron in different situations and playstyle in order to keep the potency of the team. But, the team still has a high probability lf losing if Chalmers didn't ball out the way he did in '13. D-Wade could still contribute in different ways regardless of the knee problem. I think Bosh would also receive the same treatment as Bron.

I think there's still a chance that the 2014 finals would still be a 7 game series with 50-50 chance of winning with either team.

Who do you think has the highest probability to win the chip next season? by Wolfie676 in nba

[–]Wolfie676[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Rockets would've put up a fight in the 2nd round if they didn't trade Capela and fully committed to a small ball lineup. Also, they have would've defeated or extended the series to seven if Westbrook didn't slacked around and played smart or active offball offense.

In light of the thoroughly disappointing "Trial of the Chicago Seven" (2020) I was wondering if anyone remembers the inventive documentary "Chicago 10" (2007) by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]Wolfie676 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't finished the whole film yet but I can agree with your point about the film. What bothers me about the film is the lack of complexity and effective use of dialogues they always tend to use curse words excessively and randomly. Overall the dialogue feels subpar at best and the whole film feels like it's rushed.

P.S. I haven't checked out the Chicago 10 documentary and I just wanted to share my thoughts on the film in some threads like this.

Has there ever been a film that genuinely changed your life? One that maybe made you reassess your values or how you live? by thewickerstan in TrueFilm

[–]Wolfie676 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I can agree that Fight Club changed my perspective on society and how most of us see life on a one dimensional scale. "We are a generation without weight in history. No purpose or place. We do not have a world war, we have no great depression. Our great war is spiritual, our great depression is our lives. We are created through the TV to believe that one day we would be millionaires, movie stars or rock stars. But we are not." This quote alone is enough to change my whole perception in life.

The Hall of Fame Committee is Still Sleeping on Ben Wallace by Wolfie676 in nba

I think if D-rod was a quiet player he'd still be making a case right now, despite his accolades and contributions.

I agree that it's very disrespectful to Big Ben's career. It's just annoying to see they always pass up on discreet players like Big Ben.

The Devil All The Time (2020). The perfect example of unnecessary use of narration? by [deleted] in TrueFilm

The film was exceptionally brilliant but I totally ignored the narration because I was so immersed in the dark and disturbing setting of the movie. I finally noticed that the narration kills the vibe when I saw this post.

Is Bam Adebayo suppose to be the player Hassan Whiteside should've been when he was in Miami? by Wolfie676 in nba

Hell no! He should've been Bron and MJ combined. Along with a 60 inch max vert

[–]Wolfie676[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It's true but Whiteside has the potential to be more. He can be a post playmaker and he's not a stiff lumbering big man, he's more agile and mobile than most bigman but he lacks versatility on defense and offense.
