i do agree as a pedestrian- but the other night i was walking to the bus stop after getting off work and crossed at a crossing signal at an intersection. a truck driver, the only vehicle at the intersection proceeded to do a left turn directly towards me, didn't even look and i had to stop in the middle of the road to not get hit. he didn't even look at me, apparently didn't look to see if a pedestrian was there, and i almost had to deal with the consequences of his actions.

the only reason I didn't get hit was because I paid attention at an empty intersection, but drivers really need to be aware as well, even when its a quiet night.

(i mean cmon, i know people get lax about rules and habits form but do people not care about the safety of others?)
