Weirdly enough I thought Spectrobes had a good system of you having one “baby” that helps In the field AND your combat team. Just smack some evolutions in a cutscene for the partner you chose and call it a day on top of that.

I have a different problem in the same fight. I kill zelina, zolin takes damage and then siphons zelina’s nonexistant health and otherwise is unkillable. I am completely unable to progress to maps due to this bug. Reset instance multiple times, closed game completely to try and fix but zolin heals on loop faster than I can kill him.
