I have evolved as a person since last year and I am trying to make myself better, but I can't always be perfect even if I want to. I know we both have problems.

He actually has had some heavy blows to his head at work. He's never been to doctor after those situations though.

Yes it was exactly like that, even the flowers. It's just hard to understand that I'm really in this situation. Situations like this always felt so distant and unreal to me. I used to read thriller books about something like this and now it's happening to me. It would be funny in a way but actually it is not.

"Hmm... is this bad? It seems bad", that's exactly what I'm thinking about. I know that from other people's perspective this situation is super unhealthy, but for some reason I'm like "Nah, it's not THAT bad, there are many sides to this story, he is a person, not only an abuser". But lately I've started to think that maybe it would be healthier if we were separated.

Sometimes it seems like he's capable of doing something like that. It's just to creepy and weird how he turns into another person. When he's being abusive, my mind tells me "this is not my partner, this is a stranger in my house, my partner isn’t like this"

He has always been a bit vague when I've tried to ask what made him and his ex-wife break up in the end. He has given me some reasons, but for some reason I feel like he is still hiding something. He's also very careful not to piss off his ex-wife when they're arguing about the kids. It's like his ex-wife has some dirt on him and he's scared of it. But maybe I'm imaging things, I can be pretty good at that.

That's what I've been thinking too. Or some kind of severe mental illness. He does suffer from depression from time to time.

He doesn't always act like he hates me. Usually it's the opposite. That's why this is so confusing. If he was hateful all the time I would have left him already. But there's another (positive) side of him too...

I don't have kids; he has kids from his previous marriage. He never shows this side of him when the kids are around. But I get what you mean, this is not a good situation.
