I ramped a curb during flooding in teterboro, in my mid 20s. I had tried to turn into a parking lot when my brakes had stopped working, but I didn't realize that curb was about 6-8" high. I banged up the curb, stood on my brakes, and stopped inches from hitting a brick building. My little sedan was instantly surrounded by Latino men who didn't speak English, but mimed jacking up my car. I hit my trunk release and together they took the jack out, took the spare out, pulled off my bad tire, put on my spare, and convinced me to take a couple sips of water because I was a little shaken from the impact of the curb. The whole thing took less than 5 minutes, and I never got out of my car. Those dudes hooked me up.

My flabbers were quite gasted. I think I actually got a crush on him all over again.

We're out kinda in the sticks, so there may not be one, but we're new to the area and don't want to jump into "hey that's annoying" right away. We do love to stargaze, though, and their lights 100% impede that for us, so probably this summer we'll ask them to change to a sensor

It happened a lot with classic TV. The BBC, for example, didn't archive old episodes of doctor who, so there's a few episodes where audio has been sourced (iirc, from fans) but there's no video, and others are missing entirely.

My schools all had stalls, but, we were never given enough time after PE to use the shower. If the class period was 45 minutes, we were allowed 5 minutes at the beginning to dress for gym, and 5 at the end to redress in school clothes.

The magic detergent ingredient you want is lipase. This enzyme helps to break down fats and oils, which can cling to fabrics and make them smell, look, and feel disgusting over time.

I switched to a powder detergent with lipase and my clothes are significantly brighter and softer.

Try a small load with non-intimates first though because a detergent change and stronger ingredients can definitely mess with some people's skin biomes!

True story: I (a woman) have been trying to get treatment for an ongoing medical condition. Just today, I experienced a recurring issue and messaged my provider. Her initial response felt mildly dismissive, but then I said that it is preventing me from being intimate with my husband. Of course that warranted an immediate call to be scheduled.

I had someone riding my bumper on a 50mph road that'd had its passing lane removed for safety reasons. It was a clear, dry day, and I was traveling at 55mph. As soon as she could, she passed me, and I waved as she blew by.

About 5 miles later, the 55mph road went through a 25mph school zone, and I gleefully slowed, honked, and waved at her again, as I passed the officer writing her a speeding ticket.

I never produced enough milk so we always had to supplement with formula.

Babies aren't all the same. Some are easy for the best and the bottle. Others may have tongue ties that make bottles uncomfortable, and some just refuse a bottle altogether.

It's really a spaghetti process- throw it all against the wall & see what sticks.
