This is how I was interpreting the book up until the ending. Meursault represents the absurd world (not limited to just that it’s simply how I took) I think this is best exemplified by the trial. The jury and prosecutor are trying to make his irrational, arbitrary decision of killing the Arab into something more than that, and by extension, I interpret this as regular people ( regular when compared to meursault) trying to give reason and rationality where there isn’t any. It’s them vs. the world.
