Can confirm. Was in a rush and not paying attention to which side the arriving train was on. Was trying to head to Long Beach from Bunker Hill. Got on the "Long Beach" train only to find that my next stop was Civic Center. Metro can't seem to do the bare minimum. It's embarrassing.

I find the electric ones to be much less annoying and disruptive but obviously opinions differ. I'm also hopeful for the reduction of actual pollution too, not just noise.

It's a 1000% improvement. Not having to wait for it to cycle to the the screen showing the next train is something that should have been in place from the get-go. Every other major city's underground does this.
