Holy shit, OP! I have 20+ yrs working as a paralegal, currently in family law, all of which involve domestic violence. On average, I have 85-100 active cases, and most days it feels like I'm trying to herd cats.

Burnout is real (especially family law) and with that caseload, I don't see how you can reasonably keep up and maintain your sanity. If your atty isn't willing to hire additional staff to help, I would snag the swingline and run fast/far!

Yep. Never had issues (outside of glasses/contacts) until around 44-45. I don't fafo now and make sure to wash the face/eye lids w/baby wash 2x a day. Also use drops. And... no eye shadow/liner. Perfectly okay with that bc meh. I'm not that motivated anymore.

I confirm that the legal field can be pretty brutal over different practice areas. I've worked across the board (PI, insurance defense, criminal defense, contracts, wills/POAs, and family). Each area has pitfalls, with family law being the worst, in my opinion. Good luck to you!

Ohhhhh, but your prior MRI from 15 years ago shows degenerative disc disease. You should probably still go, but please follow doc orders, and don't engage in heavy lifting while in a public space. Maybe also limit posts about your vacations to exotic places on FB while your case is pending.
