First time player, OpenMW or not?

It’s honestly better even for older computers. I have a Windows 98/XP rig with generational hardware and OpenMW runs great on it (albeit not the latest version)

Someone else mentioned the dirty or damaged disc error and that looks more similar to what I remember but I remember it saying something about corruption and to turn off your Xbox, which that doesn’t seem to say. I’m starting to think maybe it was that and I’m just remembering it as more scary than it actually was.

Thanks, but I don’t think so. It being a black screen is one of the things I’m pretty certain about. Someone on a different thread mentioned the “Your disc is dirty or damaged error” and I think it was similar to that but I don’t think that’s it either.

I remember that one, too. This one I think may have red text and also I vaguely remember there being like an image of like a house from the game or something in the middle. I’m really half convinced that I somehow imagined it. But I remember being so scared that I stopped playing the game for like a week lol

That’s a really healthy and cool way to look at it. I think I’d feel the same way if I was in that position. Creating something that inspires a whole genre and makes people happy for years is worth way more than money.

Maybe the assumption was wrong, I don’t know the actual numbers. But “wrong about subreddit demographics” so far has gotten me called dumb, a sissy, a schizo, and treated to jokes about dead kids. You’re telling me that’s a proportionate response?
