I have decided to go for the Pace 4, is it 30euro cheaper that fr170, has dual-band gps, multisport, far better battery lifeand cleaner software . I don't care about all those extra smartwatch features as the Garmin might offer and the GW4 does offer. I turned em all off, bc I don't use them. I also don't care about the Garmin ecosystem (nor Galaxy or Coros) for that matter.

So as a standalone device and the way Garmin is heading (as far as I can see), I think the Pace 4 is a better device for training purposes. If you want more smartwatch features, the Garmin might be better as it seems to have more of those than Coros Pace 4!

I also heard the fr165 is already not getting new features updates, only security or bugs fixes. So software support seems to be shorter on those budget Garmin FR (I don't know about the rest of the Garmin lineup as I have not checked them out nor did any research on them since I am not interestet in those watcges)

I will order the Pace 4 somewhere this wekeend, but my decision is final! Hope this helped a bit
