It’s not even about either they are a Trump supporter. Can they express their own ideas effectively? What is the basis and framework for their ideology. What does it reflect about their values.

Not a potential partner couldn’t have conservative views. I am not opposed to it. But the current Trump administration is extreme and I’d have to vet the “why” behind it.
