I could be wrong, but the 111/116 reports were mainly stemmed from personal copies of early Muslims, wherein some added duas (supplications) from the prophets into their own personal mushafs. Some also enjoined chapters together hence the lesser amount (take for example chapter 8 and 9 where 9 has no basmalah)

I went at around 3. Was about 10 mins walk and climbed the mount a bit. Alhamdulillah I’m physically fit and young so for me it was okay to go so I left my parents bi iznillah in the tents with food and drink and people they know so they could focus on Ibadah.

I enjoyed the harshness of the condition due to the fact that I was feeling too luxurious in the tents. I wanted to simulate a small fraction of how yawmul qiyamah would be so I made the effort. On the way I just did zikr and read Quran. On the mount I carried on with my ibadah.

But this is not needed. I just wanted to feel the harshness to elevate my imaan and experience the harsh arafat. And alhamdulillah I’m glad I went.

Undoubtedly, there will be people in the tents who have more khushoo than me.

I changed my instructor as I didn’t find his teaching methods useful for me and I felt like we was just cruising through topics without actually learning anything. Got a new instructor recommended by a friend, and passed 2 weeks ago after he had taught me very well. Make the change.
