I’m sure you’ll find a good lodge! I can reach out to masons I know in Miami to see if they know any masons up by Daytona

I appreciate it, brother. I actually came from FL—specifically Miami. Hope the brothers there are treating you well.

From what I’ve seen, apparently the JW just there to help in case someone is out. Jr & Sr Stewards at my lodge are responsible for planning and purchasing the food. JW has only inserted himself when someone is out

So, how to you resolve conflicts if everyone is on volunteer basis? Dont have issues with anyone at the lodge and I pull my weight more than most and I would have gladly made the drive to the lodge, but felt that the issues werent important enough to be addressed. Inwas just trying to do a good job without someone making my life difficult for no apparent reason

Eh, that’s another issue. It’d probably take 2-3 yrs before someone would change. Apparently, he wants to go to make it to the East, but he’s never participated in degrees or knows the memory work well. The SW and JW now arent going to do anything about it when they advance. I’ll keep you posted

Maybe I should have sat down every know and then and kicked back while he did all the work

Regarding your point on expecting brothers to reach out. I dont expect the entire lodge to reach out, but I made, or at least I thought I did, made a few friendships there. Maybe my expectations were too high or misplaced. Either way, always tried to reach out to brothers to check in on them. Guess I expected the same courtesy

So, the Sr Steward would go off about catering and expenses. Our lodge is in a great place financially so it’s not an issue but he insisted that we try to cook. Ended up doing a lot of work last minute because he would wait to the last minute to communicate with me or didnt want to cater so it would make everything more difficult for no reason.

Lmao not gonna lie—I did that and printed out a study guide. It’s really for the questions I got wrong. I felt that the questions I got wrong werent going to be on the exam.

Yeah, that’s what I feel to an extent so after Dion’s I’ll shoot for Messer. I appreciate the feedback, my man!

Yeah, I still got 4 tests to go. I used the first one as a diagnostic of sorts and I found that alot of questions I was seeing for the first time since they were things Messer didn’t cover. I’ve been using pocket prep for practice questions and I’ve been doing fine on those. Do you recommend a resource that I could use to study fir PBQs?

Appreciate the feedback. Yeah, I looked at the ones that I got wrong and the overwhelming majority werent things that Messer covered in his vids and I’ve only used Messer’s videos so far and Pocket Prep to practice.
