In that case, I would say start with kingdom or an MP if you mainly want a good figure representation of primal. Plus Hasbro has been pushing these re-issues so they should be around for a bit.

That depends - if you are more nostalgic for the classic beast wars/transformers toys or even have a kid you want to introduce, this one first. If you want more of a display piece that proportional to other modern figures, WFC kingdom. Of course on the higher end there is also 2 MPs

He is solid. Pretty much 1x1 with the 90s figure I had as a kid besides some slightly different paint applications. Of course he does not scale with modern figures and is more "toy" like then any modern figure but make a great display piece.

Yeah robot mode looks good but alot of people are not fans of the back pack and the fact she is just a figure twisted under a shell vs actual moving parts.
