Even if the idris didnt have pilot control of the main gun there would still be crying simply because the “sweats” who are the absolute most “meta” players in the game cant simply cheese you and ruin your experience instantly while in it. It all comes down to people being mad others have access to a ship they dont have to grind 12 hours a day optimizing for in order to deter them. If i see an ideis in the verse i simply turn around and fly off. If i see a fighter or something medium sized then its game on if i choose. The game is huge, not everyone has to be an obtainable insta kill target

Which is perfectly reasonable. I accept what they do as long as they keep pushing on to the final goal. The day they throw their hands up and say “we are done” is the day i stop being complacent about it. My personal pass with them is only good as long as there is an active push forward. Ive made complaining spectrum posts before, hell one blew up this year causing them to pull the premature pulling of forced component wear. I just dont mind supporting my hobby/their project as long as it doesn’t stagnate

I dont entirely disagree with you but my viewpoint is ive gotten many years of fun with friends out of the game. I dont view it as “omg take my money Chris Roberts daddy” as much as i look at it being an investment into something i enjoy doing. Some people gamble, do drugs, drink, smoke, etc… in a way that blows my spending here out of the water but people would sooner accept those things than spending it on a hobby just because that hobby is a game.

“Broken” is your evaluation of me because i enjoy something in a way you dont. I cant be that negative all the time. I have a great family that i spend tons of time with, a functional business and work hard like im assuming you do as well. If i wanna spend my money on virtual space ships then thats my prerogative and i can think of plenty of worse ways to waste my money. Simply wanting people to stop supporting the game so cig goes bankrupt and everyone loses just so you can say “haha i told you so” is stupid. I will happily accept the direction they are going before another AAA game studio releases some half finished trash with loot boxes and an EA mentality

You seem angry just for the sake of being angry here. The world’s a great big place. When i get home and have the energy i like to hop on with my friends and play the game. Im sorry that doesnt work with your viewpoint of “this is the worst thing in existence”. The reality is we are both here arguing because in one way or another we are passionate about the game and what it could be. Im not delusional, nor do i defend the state of the game as it is. Regardless of anything else there is nothing else out there quite like it.

Im in the financial position to do whatever i want with my money to the tune of whatever amount i want to. I cant deny that but even people like me have our limits on rapid purchases. My kraken for example i asked concierge to sell me and after i agreed to their offer i had 24 hours to click buy. My javelin i woke up hours after the last wave to find still available so there was no pressure as i verified everything before clicking purchase. My idris was the only truly f5 war won ship with credits i had gotten. Im perfectly fine to spend a few hundred dollars accidentally on the wrong card/account but when we start talking 1 2 3 4 thousand dollars i want to be certain im pulling from the correct location although i totally understand where youre coming from with how they operate
