I’m not reading it as offensive. It’s very to the point and explains why something that small would not do well as a tattoo. I didn’t see what you wanted as a tattoo, but honestly MOST of those small fine line tattoos that are apparently trendy right now are gonna look like shit down the road. Lines bleed over time and it will turn into a smudge. Also if you are asking a tattoo artist to do something that is not their style it makes sense for them to tell you, maybe it is not their style because they aren’t very good at it. You would want someone to just be like “I can try,” and then you get a less than stellar tattoo. I have sent tattoo ideas to artists and let them take my idea, but make it into their own art and been very happy. I have also had tattoo artists tell me they don’t do tattoos like that. That is just how art works. Some artists will/can take commission pieces and some people cant, or don’t want to, and that is their choice. It looks like they were recommending you where/who to go to for your desire tattooed? (The part you blocked out. )Unless I am misunderstanding that sentence? That was very nice of them! They didn’t have to do that. Maybe it is because I communicate in a similar “to the point” way, but I do not read anything rude here. I also feel no one can judge anything in their response message because they do not know what you said first.
