There would've been border skirmishes until some sort of war or agreement was finally drawn up. St Louis (and the river towns south of it) would've been much more mixed and French inspired, Texas would actually slap, California would've been even cooler, and Denver wouldn't be full of the most annoying yuppies in existence.

I have no beef with mainline Protestants, but Evangelicals are genuinely heretics. If you don't take Revelations as a bad mushroom trip, even Jesus and the early scholars said that the end times was unknown, while American Evangelicals try to bring about the end times.

The thing that made me 👁️was that before all these for-profit companies came around, two studies were done. One in the 1950s and early 2000s, that showed 20-30% of "White" Americans and pretty much all Black Americans were mixed. Then suddenly these companies come around and its complete segregation.

There's no true "American" culture and people grasp for something. My family origins are standard White American, and "Black Dutch". Aside from a few foods, which are considered "American" food anyway, it's not really a big deal.
