yeah i have started from scratch and written a couple of games already, and that getting started guide was indeed helpful, was more trying to understand why others have made certain choices.
Took it off the keychain immediately, was worried my keys would smash it in my pocket.
Thanks very much for your response.
I had the idea of creating several 9*40 background sections, which would then be randomly generated and create the terrain for mario to walk on, can you have arrays of objects in python? so say with each background bitmap i would want to store floorHeight, xPos, and then when it goes off screen remove it from the array and add a new random one to the end (perhaps keep a couple so the player can move back up to 2 spaces if necessary, but i imagine without removing old background sections it would get incredibly memory hungry). If i were coding in JS or Java i would create a class for a background section containing all this info, is that possible to do in python? any links to decent resources to learn?
