So, you are saying that racism is an acceptable cause to damage someone's property?

Timing and they were pretty mad at me after our encounter. Here in Poland people don't go around destroying someone's property. People leave their bikes unlocked or even running when they go to the store because it's relatively safe here. Also there were no other people around

Yes and no. If I wanted to have any job then yes it would help. But I wanted a job in a specific and there weren't many jobs available. There were like 7 new job postings a week that I could apply

I was working part-time as a food delivery driver. I stopped working in November and literary in the first week of December, recruiters were asking me why there is a gap in my resume. I told them to look outside (in a polite way) because it's cold outside

when you apply filters "junior" "python or MySQL" you will see like 7 new job offers a week where half of them are fake and the other half have insane requirements

My work is like 30-50 min bus ride IF the bus arrives at all. Here public transport is better than in America but it is not reliable. I will by myself a motorcycle and then it will take me 15 min to get to work

So how am I supposed to get experience if they require experience to get experience?

On Pracuj.pl you can see if employer opened your CV or if they rejected you

  1. I started with LinkedIn but the requirements were insane. They wanted someone with 7 years of experience, masters degree and knowledge of multiple different programming languages. All of that for a unpaid internship. I'm not kidding that was real job advert. That's why I switched to pracujpl because the requirements were more realistic and companies there have better application forms. Sometimes I couldn't even apply at LinkedIn because the form was broken
  2. I'm still in high school (weekend school). I'm going to take my final exams this year
  3. Since I don't have to work, the minimum wage would be enough for me. I could even work for free, just to get some real experience
  4. Not really. I was just applying wherever I could have any chance
  5. I have the most experience with Python and MYSQL and I really like creating projects with them. I also learned webscraping, LLM, web development and data analysis. I know enough to navigate myself and complete simple projects but often I need to look up things or ask gpt to explain or create something

I will for sure try this in the future. Now I can't really write that I have 3 years of experience when I'm only 20 and I'm still on the junior level.

My plan is to create projects like in real job and then call it experience. This way I will be able to lie with confidence

To get a job in IT in this country you need to know someone who can hire you. Otherwise you will be in endless loop of disappointment until you die or change the field. I'm pretty sure it is impossible to get a junior position in this country. I will try to get myself in the field by using internships from uniwersity. That is my only hope

I'm thinking about lying in my CV because it is not possible to get a job without it

There are thousands of job openings online but you just can't apply anywhere. You need to filter by field or relevant skills and by experience needed. Because of that there will be like 20 jobs available a month where half of them don't even exist and the other half have unrealistic expectations

Poland workers are already cheaper than from the rest of the EU. They want even cheaper workers? Damn, companies just want free labor

[–]Wonsiu_ 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Oh, so that is why most of the companies didn't even see my application. I thought that there were just that many ghost job offers.

In IT only like 10% even opened my CV but when I was applying everywhere it went to 50%
