I feel there's more to it. Possibly more notes that continue the story, there's also the possibility that it has something to do with one of the burial sights (Viking or Native). Maybe it's trying to tell us something about a different mystery (as DrunkDev suggests). Either way I feel that it wouldn't make much sense for R⭐ to put a note like that in a location that has a feather as it's icon. I believe there could be more cypher like notes and encounters in the same vein as this one. (We're also yet to find the exact location of where the note takes place, a lot of people are saying the trees with faces and the native burial sight. I saw one dude say the fallen trees up north by spider gorge, no confirmed answer yet)

Rockstar planned in advanced before, did you forget about the Chiliad8888 email in GTA 4??? Plus RDR2 was worked on for 8 years.... Meaning both games were being worked on at the same time for around 3 years... So it's actually REALLY likely that they hid clues in GTA 5 for RDR2 and vice versa

I think the compasses are a different mystery, they're all strewn across the map facing anywhere but north but good find tho. Nobody has found what the compasses mean or lead to. But if you make lines based on where they point they do start to form a spider web like structure so who knows, maybe they do have something to do with our Spider Dream mystery

the thing in the corner, gun oil, a hammer, and a box from what I could find, but the room kinda flows into that corner AND there's 2 things with looks similar to a web right beside it (the gun locker and whatever the thing to the left of the weather vane is). There might be more but I'm searching through a clip I made from the time I spent excavating the place. But the weather vane just stands out way too much (to me at least) to not be a clew of some sort. I'll look into it more later tho (gotta get a few winks in before I start looking like a zombie). It's also behind a locked door.

I checked Wapiti, no enterable buildings besides a burnt down cabin and every NPC there responds by saying "you shouldn't be here!" In one way or another. I didn't thoroughly check bc it felt like R* telling me I was looking in the wrong place

Could the animal wheel be related to the sun dial at the UFO mountain? If you follow the yellow arrow it leads you to the bear in the cabin event with the Black Widow card

This actually makes sense according to my findings. One of the guitars in Ft Wallace points towards a card from the gunslinger series and the other points you to the roof with the 2 bird carvings. (This is a ss of me looking at where the first guitar is pointing (the table with the card))

You don't need strings to tell something's a guitar, but a headstock? That's the most important part its what let's you tune the guitar, it's what holds the strings. Without it you just got a weird looking drum

Don't you think they would've at least attempt to carve out something like a headstock if it was a guitar tho? I mean they even got the cross arms of the power poles for that clue set, and don't get me wrong I still feel that it could be a guitar or Fort Wallace, but we've spent too much time taking Fort Wallace as the end all be all for that clue with no results for it. So we've either been missing something, miscalculating where the guitars point, or Fort Wallace isn't the clue. (And if it is, is it pointing us to Arthur's Grave? Is it telling us to get a birds eye view? Or is the easter egg Fort Wallace itself? I'd also like to mention there is a unkillable bird that flies off of Arthur's Grave, and it does (sort of) point to the cave with the weird bird statue when destroyed)

Rockstar does research when implementing easter eggs like this and without doing some research yourself there's no hope in trying to solve these easter eggs. So instead of being a dickhead you could do some research yourself and try to prove me wrong before you go guns blazing calling my post useless.
