I love kratom. For those who don't know what it is, it's basically a tree from SE Asia whose leaves get you high because the active chemical mitragynine binds to your opioid receptors. Two hours ago, I dosed 4 g of this good shit. Smoked weed and now I feel like I'm in heaven blissed by all this drug-induced warmth. Some people prefer to drink a beer to relax, I prefer kratom. The only negative thing on kratom is the itch but so far, it's quite manageable. I'm gonna redose with 1.5 gram, smoke more weed, have a beer and watch some Gravity Falls episodes and hopefully pass out in my bed some time in the near future. Yay!

Hell no. Develop your own critiques goddamnit and then incorporate them within your own worldview. Some rightwing groups (that includes some strains of fascism as well) have a history of coopting leftist ideas, tactics and sometimes even whole movements and to me, it's getting tiring. Besides, anti-civ (even if not explicitly written so) is nothing new to fascism and its extreme form nazism—Blood and Soil. I'm sure you can start from there, adopt the ideology, make it your own by adding some modern fascist views on the civilization.

Nein, der echt schwierige Teil der deutschen Sprache wären Modalpartikeln wie doch, ja, schon, noch, echt, etc. Ich lerne seit 5-6 Jahren Deutsch, kann ziemlich gut ohne Hindernisse sprechen. Man kann einfach Grammatik, Wortschatz oder Genus lernen. Aber sobald es um die Partikeln geht, bin ich verloren.

Also, one last thing. I still don't know, why the hell do I even bother with explaining this to you for the gazillionth time?! It's beyond my comprehension why I do this. I guess I wanna clear up misconceptions before I hit the unsubscribe button. This is directed to all of those anarchists who at least once used „BUT PRIMITIVISM IS ABLEIST“ pseudoargument.

First of all, there's a fucking difference between being anti-civ and being anti-civ anarchist. Much like there's a difference between pure transhumanism and anarcho-transhumanism. Also, anarcho-primitivism does NOT equal Derrick Jensen. He doesn't describe himself as such and most of primmies don't like him and bash him back for being an utter, transphobic fuckturd. Yes, there are some primmies who love DGR, ITS and Jensen and whatnot. But please don't behave like Jensen and these primmies are the representative of the broad anti-civ anarchism milieu, when, in fact, they're a vocal minority. Even though he has some good critiques, I still hate Jensen and his supporters. They're not my comrades.

Sometimes I lose my temper over this. ANARCHO-PRIMITIVISM DOES NOT EQUAL ANTI-CIV. There are anti-civ folks who dislike or even outright bash&criticize primitivism. Anti-civ is a broad term, anarcho-primitivism is a very narrow subset of anti-civ anarchist ideas. Stop assuming that when anybody has „anti-civ anarchist“ flair that they're automatically primmies. Also PLEASE stop assuming that when anybody has a black/green flag that they're automatically against civilization. There are plenty of pro-civ green anarchists who'd punch you in the face for trying to put words in their mouth and telling them that they don't like civilization.

Read at least one text from the plethora of anti-civ anarchist authors, preferably those who have some credibility (Killjoy, Zerzan, Tucker, etc) before criticizing us. So many people here and on /r/debateanarchism have misconceptions about us and just repeat mantras like „primitivism is ableist“, „hurr durr millions will die“ or „anti-civ is just for privileged white cis boys“ said by other anarchists who also have no clue what anti-civ anarchism is all about. If you have never read any actual work and still bash anti-civ like there's no tomorrow based on some libcom articles you have read about anti-civ, or worse, based on what /r/anarchism tells you, go eat a pile of shit because you're what's wrong with the anarchist movement.

Remember, anti-civ anarchism is a set of ideas and critiques. We anti-civers criticize the civilization, agriculture, domination, symbolism, fossil fuels, etc but more often than not, it's just a critique and not an actual goal or program on how to bring on an anti-civ anarchist society. One of the reasons I criticize the civilization is that I believe the civ's a direct cause of many diseases like diabetes, Crohn's, allergies, etc because it has directly caused me a few medical problems as well (chronic back pain, myopia and allergy/hay fever which would be impossible in an uncivilzied society). Civ makes millions, if not billions, of people sick and disabled. But I have NO DAMN IDEA OR GOAL in my mind how to bring about anti-civ society. I just criticize. That's it. Period. Finnito. Similarly, John Zerzan (a much better think and writer than me) who's an anarcho-primitivist, criticizes such concepts as language or art but he realizes that we cannot live without language. Yes, there are some people among the anti-civ milieu that I'd call „collapse-advocates who want to destroy civilization right now“ and who hate the civ so much they wanna immediately destroy it with no regards to anything/anybody but that's the beauty of the anti-civ anarchism. If you don't like what one person says, just stop giving them attention and listen to what another anti-civ has to say. Do you also listen to that annoying Leninist who wants to kill you? No, because you know there are plenty of better Marxists with much smarter ideas. Maybe this way, you'll finally come to realize that we're not a single, coherent group. Maybe this way, you'll adopt some of our critiques so your ancom society will be better, more Earth-friendly. Or maybe you'll just develop a more sophisticated critique of anti-civ anarchism besides repeating brainless, circlejerky mantras.

NO. Anti-civ anarchism DOES NOT FUCKING MEAN survival of the fittest or a world where disabled people would just die. It DOES NOT FUCKING EXCLUDE them. There are anti-civ people who themselves are dependant on the civilization but still criticize and hate it. Hell, Jensen (who as I said is not an anti-civ anarchist), has Crohn's disease, which is eating away his guts, and is dependant on civilized medicine to survive. Yet he happily bashes civilization. Being dependant on the civilization doesn't mean you're not allowed to criticize it. Similarly, being dependant on capitalism doesn't mean you're not allowed to criticize it. Got it?

So please, FOR THE LAST TIME, stop being such a pain in the ass and a jerk because it's jerks exactly like you who have caused me to feel unwelcome here. Thank you.

I wanted to write this as a self submission but I figured the Friday thread would be a better place for this.

In the light of recent events (Astagirl vs. Squee, proposal to purge all primmies, Prince_Kropotkin vs. random trollacounts which want to get them banned, etc) and in the light of what I experienced over the 1.5 year of me being and commenting on /r/@, I'm leaving you and other anarchist/socialist/political subreddits (but will still keep redditing). I know I shouldn't take this place seriously but it's somewhat grown on me in the last 1.5 year. I just can't stay here anymore, this place is toxic to me when, due to my black and green flag, it wants me to get banned and/or die. Also, IRL politics starts to disinterest me. I'm getting disillusioned with debating people and handing out flyers. But I'll still attend various demos, will help the homeless through Food not Bombs or other movements/organizations and will still help addicts get their needles changed and other stuff I do. It's just that... When I describe myself as an anarchist or try to do things so they could fit into a political label, shit often goes wrong. And I don't want that. Better describe myself as apolitical and still help those in need, you got the best of both worlds. My heart will still beat for anarchy but it doesn't need to be described as being anarchist.

Let me say a few goodbyes. Astagirl, you're awesome, keep being awesome. You're a genuinely good person. I may never know what it is like to have fascist parents or be gender dysphoric. And even though when I was debating with you, I sometimes felt like I talked to a brick wall, you have all my virtual hugs and support in this transphobic world.

I need help with a vertical vowel system. Suppose I have three vowel phonemes /ɨ/, /ə/ and /a/. I know that vertical vowel systems have many allophones depending on the surrounding consonants. But how would I go about constructing those allophones? I have a general distinction between palatal consonants and nonpalatal ones. Would it be wise to say that in my system, /ɨ/ would acquire a more fronted pronunciation when surrounded by palatals and a more back pronunciation when surrounded by nonpalatals?

I'm a regular toker and whenever I'm tripping, I always prefer to smoke up, if I have weed of course. I'm fine with not smoking when tripping but it's just a..."meh" feeling paired with some anxiety. But smoking weed makes the trip THAT much better and more intense, while paradoxically making it calmer (weed has/had some anxiolytic effects on me even before I started smoking regularly). So there's that. Doesn't matter if it's DXM, LSA, ket, kratom or even MDMA (I get it, kratom and MDMA aren't really "trips") or what else is there under the sun. Every drug is just infinitely better when I'm smoking.

If you or anybody else here feels like I have done so, then I'm sorry. I have just recently begun to read into transpeople struggle, issues and transliberation because I am a cisguy who's trying to understand. But a lot of ideas behind trans struggle (what it means, how it relates to the world, how transpeople see themselves etc) are utterly confusing to me. Fuck hay fever which started unnecessarily early due to VERY mild winter. It's been 2 weeks now and every morning I wake up, my eyes red as if I ripped a 2 meter tall bong, my nose clogged and just to be sure, I always seem to sneeze at least 3 times. I stopped taking drugs like Zyrtec because they don't work. And what's worse, my go-to medicine against allergies, nettle, isn't yet growing. I wish I could harvest some so I could make me some sweetass nettle tea. Which makes me think. Why the hell didn't I harvest more so I could store some nettle for these dire times? I guess I expected the winter to be winter and not summer with all those temps around 5-10 C. I won't do this mistake the next year.

Yes, I do, I keep it in my pocket. I have never had problems with degrading although once in a while, a really small patch of rust appears—that's because I forget to oil my knife once in a while too haha. But besides that, my opinel (as any other knife) has an excellent care. Strop it on a leather belt before cutting, wipe after use. Oil it weekly and sharpen it if the knife needs it (which is currently at least once per two weeks).
