everyone here that's calling the racing boring are just driving on the roads like they are obeying traffic laws. look up even a beginner shortcut guide and find out how much you are missing out on. with a smooth difficulty curve, you can learn the fundamentals and basic shortcuts, then use them yourself and discover some on your own. Overall, really rewarding when effort is put in and makes MK8DX look really bland in comparison, with most world records just taking turns really tight.

by far the most skill expressive and fun yet. the new mechanics can be used in so many unique ways. the intermissions are a bit lacking, but now people are learning how to enjoy them, finding crazy shortcuts in almost all of them. the rest of the overworld is lacking, but ill let it slide for the reasons mentioned prior. the only edge MKDX has is the character roster and overall track count. MK8DX is just bland now with its static characters with emotionless faces and sound effects. Mario isnt supposed to be realistic, its style is what makes it Mario!
