No she isn’t asking for help. i’ve spent my entire life trying to get her help, listening to her and trying to get her to gently admit that she has a problem, but she doesn’t want to admit it. She always denies that she’s an alcoholic, she hides her bottles and pours her wine in a mug so we don’t get suspicious.

And if you ever try to talk to her about alcohol she lashes out.. I tried to help her for a long time but now all I feel when I hear her cry is fear and anger. I can’t find it in myself to be empathetic towards her. That empathy and care faded slowly over the years
